Anyone doing the Disneyland Marathon?

i am!!! super excited too!! but to be honest i'm really going to "run" the race i'm there to take pictures with the characters on the sidelines!!

I know there are DISers with the WISH board that usually try to meet up on Friday night in front of Jamba Juice. They always welcome meeting other DISers!

Are you going to be wearing DIS green when you cheer the half runners, as well? If you're still there by the time I make my way through, I'll love to see some DISers cheering! DH and I have WISH shirts ordered, but won't get them in time for next weekend. I do have a DIS green race shirt that I'm going to wear and if I can find a lime green visor, I'm going to write WISH across the brim and wear that, too.

How funny - you guys are from Sacramento and our friend who runs the half every year is also from Sac. We'll have to meet up. I'll try to find a green shirt - would you believe I don't really own any! A pale lime/bright celery sweater set is as close as I have! My DIS podcast sweatshirt is too heavy for that weekend.

PM me and we can try to hook up. I know we'll have some other DISers at breakfast at Catal on Saturday after the 5K.

Just finished our Skirts! My friend and I will have gray t-shirts, bright red dotted Minnie Skirts, and black visors with Minnie bow and ears. We will be near the back of the pack - slow, slow, slow... - look for us! Oh yes, and the very stylish fuel belts with our water as well.

I finished my skirt a couple of days ago. My DH got some minnie fabric on ebay-paid way too much, but I couldn't find it anywhere. So, I'll have on my red minnie skirt with a white waist band and a big white bow actually on the front to one side with a black sleeveless running shirt. I have gotten yellow/gold shoe laces for my shoes and made a red polka dotted hair bow-just don't think I can run in a headband as they give me a headache. And of course, my white gloves.

Sort of sad...in one week we will be done. I will travel via air to Sacramento after the race to visit family.

My friend and I finished our skirts the other day. She is going for a Pocahontas themed outfit and me - Sleeping Beauty. We made tie dye shirts to match, but I am not thrilled with them so I think we are going to go find running tanks that match.

Well its less than a week away and my foot is doing much better. Still have to take it easy cause I start my new job the day after the race. I hope I get to start in the same section as my wife and keep up with her...lol

Funny....my BFF and I are going to be Minnies, too! Will look for you out there! We will be mixing running and walking, not very fast, but not too slow. She has a Minnie skirt with the good size polka dots. I couldn't find fabric with big dots, so I have smaller polka dots. I think we'll have mouse ear headbands, and black tops and the gloves and shoes! See ya!

This will be my second year doing the half at Disneyland. Last year, it was my first half marathon and I think we will be making this a yearly tradition. My wife will be running the 5k with some friends and my DD5 and DS1 are running in the Kids Races.

Good luck to all the runners. Just a few more days. I have two more short 3 mile runs left!

Yes you can use your ipod. However be aware of what is going on around you (as always) I run with one ear bud only.

I have run the half the last two years but missed the cut off for this year, so sad!! I will be doing the 5k this year and kids doing the kids race.
