Hey there. Just wondering if any WISHers will be doing this 10k. It benefits the 'LARC' school, a local school for special needs children. The race is on 11/7 & starts @ Campbell ballfield & goes over the Ben Franklin bridge & back. Nice kids' run in the ballfield too.

Maybe an impromptu WISH meet?

I am! I registered last week for it, and it will be my first real 10K. I have run a few 5Ks and I did the Hershey Half Marathon Relay (I ran the shorter, 6 mile leg) earlier this month, but I am excited to run the bridge. I am a Philly resident, so trying to figure out exactly how I am getting to the other side of the bridge early in the morning (before the bridge closes :scared1: or taking public transportation on a Sunday :confused3).

Anyone else?

You should be able to take the Patco high speed line (dont know where in Philly you are tho) to the 'transportatuon center' in Camden, then the River Line to the start. It starts @ Campbell Field, right?

Yeah, I know I can take Patco, but its the Sunday early morning part that slows me down. Patco runs only every 30 minutes at that point of the week, and I would need to take a bus/trolley across the city to get to the Patco line, which also runs only every 30 minutes. So add in waiting time, plus time from Patco down to the stadium, and it means leaving my house as early as 5 something. I will figure it out, but I may end up spending way more time waiting around than would be ideal. Oh well, at least I will have plenty of time to digest some breakfast before the race this way!

Thanks for your post though, nice to know that I won't be the only DIS fan there. With 4000 runners, there ought to be some more.
