Anyone doing/done the P&PP?

Hi,
Is anyone doing the Pirates and Princess Party this year, or done it in the past?
I'm pretty excited that there are 2 dates for the party during our April trip
My little princess (she's 8) has informed me that she will NOT be getting any pictures taken with princess's or autographs this year because she's too big now ..........That's okay because her mother is NOT too old for that

We went to P&PP last August. Here's a picture of us at the start of the party.

We really enjoyed it. The parade and fireworks are excellent. We did end up with a ridiculous amount of treasure (chocolate). Of course it would be easier to carry around in April than August.

We went last year, in March, when I celebrated my big 4-0. It was awesome. Really cold though , been in Florida in March before and it was not that cold.

We went last August as well. Most of our Chocolate treats melted!! But I still have the bags. We took advantage of the smaller lineups for the rides as opposed to the special events. We had a blast. Highly recommend it.

Just bought our tickets for March 11th. Can't wait!

We will be coming back to Orlando from Tampa , just for the party.
We are at POR and cruising the week BEFORE ( March 3-9th), then going to stay in Clearwater from the 9th to the 13th. DH really didn't really want to drive back to Orlando , but I think he'll be happy for an extra park day!

I know it's Ontario's March break, and with the dollar so good right now the park will probably be SUPER CROWED! But I really wanted to try it out!

We went last March and it was great. By far the best fireworks in WDW! We have plans to go on Mar 1st and 6th this year.

This is us from March 2007. We had a great time. Going back again this March. DD12 and I had our hair done at BBB and DD8 and DH went as pirates. The evening started off nice (weather wise) but by the end of it we were all wearing our sweat shirts. Can't wait to go back!

We went last Sept and had a great time. It was HOT though so most of the chocolate melted. We had an amazing meet & greet with Jack Sparrow. If you can get in line at like 6:30 as the lines were huge later on. He spent lots of time and did lots of pics.

DD and I went last February. I thought it was incredible bang for the buck. It was down right coldrotfl2: that from a Canuck) but we walked straight on to every single ride. In fact we did BTMR 5 times in a row...without getting off. I'm sure the CM's had a great laugh. We got to see the start of the fireworks while riding. Which BTW I highly recommend..it's DD's fav memory of the night.

reading the other posts, it appears there is going to be alot less entertainment then previous parties, so i am not so sure it will be worth the high ticket price?

Only 1 parade was mentioned.

We are going this Saturday(1/26)! Looking so forward to it, I have never been to one of the DW 'parties', so I am thrilled!!

NO chocolate and only one parade???? That's lousy. We loved this party in August, and had a blast. But if they're cutting back like this, I'm not sure it would be worth the price. It would be crazy trying to get a spot for the parade if there's only one. Disney has really cut down on the number of "extras" you get when you purchase these special events, and yet they've increased the number of people allowed at each night. Sometimes I do wonder why I give them so much of my money ... I think that Pixie Dust they sprinkle on you when you're there must have some sort of cult-like quality in it.

I'm going March 6 as well! I was so disappointed last September. There was a party the night before we got there, and the night after we left!

On March 6th, we'll be the Pirate family with 1) 2) 3) little pirates!!
My husband doesn't want to dress up , but I might get a pirate "T" on him.
I'm hoping to find some cool Pirate stuff on the cruise!! They have a
Pirate IN the Carribean night, and give out lots of stuff....

Here's hoping for good weather... and low crowds!

We are doing it March 1st. Have out tickets purchased and everything. My daughter ( 12 ) and my cousiin's daughter ( 8 ) are doing a Bibbidi Boppity Boutique hair and nails treatment inside Cinderella Castle earlier that day to prepare.

Kids are funny eh? I have to convince my 15 year old to only get autographs and pictures with the "important" characters ( i.e. his favorites ) cause all 3 insist on doing every character every time... kinda time consuming ... but they love it so who am I to argue haha

We are going on March 11 and we went last March, dd did the bbb before we went and we had a ball. It was a little cool but the crowds were light, the cms were filling our bags near the end to just get rid of it. We got so many necklaces and chocolate and the fireworks were the best I'd ever seen. I heard no chocolate this year too instead they are doing necklaces and gems. Too bad. I hope they have all the extra photo ops, the coach, the mirror, throne etc.

There was only one parade last Year. I'm not sure why there seems to be some surprise on that one.

High ticket price???? It's almost a half price admission to MK...you can get in at 4pm and stay until midnight. That's a bargain.
