Anyone doing Body for Life??

Is there anyone out there trying the balanced diet of Body for Life? (or any other higher carbs then Atkins diet.)

I seem to see mostly Atkins people on this board. I did Atkins for one month and had problems with it. (all of them documented in his book). I moved over to the Body for Life program and have never felt better. I am firming up nicely and taking real care of my body. I had the typical side effect when I went off of Atkins which was an IMMEDIATE weight gain even though I was eating correctly and exercising. (Has to do with the depletion of glycogen in your muscles while eating low carbs). Also found that even though I lost weight, I didn't lose inches quickly meaning I was losing muscle weight instead of fat weight.

I am trying to find out if there are any others doing the balanced approach so I don't feel alone here. :p

(Have to say that I LOVED the Atkins diet though, loved the food!)

i'm a WWer now, but i have done BFL in the past. The exercises are super! I will say the summer I was on BFL my quads were the most toned they've ever been!!

I have some family members who were successful on BFL too

I think the three major groups of WISHers are WW, Atkins/controlled carbohydrate and those eating sensibly. There is a plan for everyone, though. I'm glad you have found one that works best for <i>you.</i>

Are you going to be taking the challenge? I would love to have you in my support group.

The WISH support group is just the best group of caring, nonjudgemental, helpful, kindhearted, motivational and inspirational people you could ever hope to meet.

The support group is composed of men and women following every kind of eating plan but regardless of the plan they follow they are always here on WISH just waiting to help another WISHer along that road to better health.
