Anyone do the drawing classes at the EPCOT Chase Lounge yet?

Just wondering what your experience was. We are wanting to participate in a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if I should plan on being at the lounge right at 11a opening?

Thanks for any tips/experiences!

On Saturday of the first F&W weekend, the first drawing class was at 11:30. The classes were held at 45 minute intervals: 30 minute class followed by a 15 minute break for the CM. The last class was held a little after 5:00.

If didn't seem like most people knew about the classes. Most were there to choose their ETTB wristband for the night's concerts. It also didn't seem as if the Chase Lounge CMs knew much about the classes. The CMs weren't sure if the classes would be held daily. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks, that helps! We will also need to pick up ETTB wristbands - if I can convince the kids to go. It's TIFFANY when we are there and she was my tweenage favorite. My kids are not excited about it but I thought by that time of day they might enjoy a little break.

I didn't know they had drawing classes. Are they like the ones they had at Animation Academy in HS? I loved those classes. Anyone with a Chase Visa card can do this correct? I don't have a Disney Chase but have a Southwest Chase card. Hopefully that counts.

Anyone with a Chase Visa can access the Lounge. Only Disney Chase guests could pick up the ETTB wristbands. The CMs were walking around the different areas of the Lounge asking for participants for the drawing class - you didn't need to show proof of a Disney Chase card.

I have been on Saturdays and Sundays after the first weekend and have been told each time that the drawing classes are now only on weekdays. I've asked multiple people in the lounge and always got the same answer. We got there right at 11 and stuck around for 30-45 minutes each time and there were no classes started in that time. I'm not sure what day you are going, but it is something to keep in mind.

Is the lounge only open during F&W festival? We will be at EPCOT the day after it ends.

Oh MAN! Oh well, thanks for letting me know. We are not getting park hoppers this time and our only Epcot day is a Sat. That's a bummer - glad I hadn't mentioned it to the kids yet!

I didn't know Epcot had drawing classes! My biggest regret from our last trip is that I didn't take the time to draw. I'd love to hear more about this.

EPCOT does not have drawing classes. During the F&W Festival this year in the Chase Lounge, upstairs in the American Adventure Pavilion they are holding drawing classes on select days (this translates to when they choose to hold them). You must have a Chase Visa Card which you must show in order to access the lounge & the perks contained within. Check the F & W section of the WDW website for more details about the festival.

So what else is in this lounge? I've never heard of it. Is it mostly a place to sit in the air conditioning for a bit , or is there food there, or what is the deal? I knew about the Disney Chase picture perk, but didn't know about the lounge. I have a Chase Freedom card, so that would get me in right?

Yes, any Chase Visa will get you in. It's where Disney Chase Visa guests pick up the ETTB concert wristbands. There's 3 separate rooms providing a variety of seating and tables.

The Coke vending machines provide free soft drinks. Coffee and tea are also available as well as a cash bar for alcoholic beverages.

A charging station for phones with a variety of cables is located in the center room.

The final room is where the animation classes take place and there are two large screen TVs set up with Disney Infinity games.

I didn't know about these drawing classes. Anyone there recently with experiences getting in to the lounge? Last time we were there, 2 years ago, we had to wait in line about 15 minutes to get into the lounge. And then we found seats, but didn't dare move since all the seats were full, and we were afraid that if we got upm form a drink, the seats would be taken. But that's OK-the line for sodas was so long anyways! Since this trip is a solo trip, I wouldn't have anyone to save my seat if I get up for the restroom, so I'm kind of wondering.

This will be such a nice surprise for my wife on our upcoming trip next week, thanks for the tip!!!!
