Anyone Do Priceline For Hotel Near Universal?

DID ANYONE USE PRICELINE FOR A HOTEL NEAR UNIVERSAL?
WHICH ONE DID YOU GET & FOR HOW MUCH?
WHAT WAS IT LIKE ?

Check out www.biddingfortravel.com under the Orlando hotel bids. Many get the 3* Wyndham Orlando for around $35 or so and its supposed to be quite nice.

We've gotten the Wyndham mentioned above for $30/nt, the Amerisuites across form Universal's parking garage for $28/nt. and the Wellesley Inn and Suites near Universal for $23/nt. Definitely check TravelSheryl's website listed above for info and don't be afraid to give Priceline a try - but be sure that your dates are set in stone because ressies on Priceline are non-cancelable and non-changeable.

The closest I've gotten is $20 for a 1 star hotel -- The LaQuita Inn on I-Drive. It was about 3-4 miles away from Universal.

I've gotten the Radisson for $25 a night, the Wellesley for $30 a night. Both are great properties and worth much more. Wellesley is a 2 1/2 in the Florida Mall area, which is what I chose for a free bid when I was turned down for everythng in the USF area, it was for NYE and I was bidding ONE WEEK prior!

I've also gotten the Holiday Inn I-Drive but would not recommend that one!

I paid $30 for a one night stay at Wyndham. There is a resort fee of 4.95 that they are no longer waiving. Nice hotel.

I got a room at the Fairfield Inn Orlando on Intermational Drive for $26 a night. Their web site says the hotel is 2 miles from Universal.
