I've shared before about how I like to take advantage of two local store's annual case sales-well this year they ended up having their sales both during the same week so it was EASY to compare prices and stock up on items that with what we have should cover us for about a year. Does anyone else do this or take advantage of other stock up sales? If so-share what kind of deals you can get (it will be interesting to see what those of us in one region consider a deal vs. those in another), i'll start with my haul-
(store brand unless otherwise noted/cases of 24 unless otherwise noted)
1 case of tomato sauce-$11
2 cases of crushed tomatoes-$13 each
1 case (12) of cut green beans-$6
1 case of diced beets-$15
1 case beef broth-$13.50
2 cases (12 each) progresso lite clam chowder-$15 each
2 cases (12 each) progresso lite chicken and cheese enchilada soup-$15 each
10 cases of bottled water-$2.50 each
2 cases of paper towels-$13.98 each
1 case (16-24 oz bottles) catsup-$9
1 case diced tomatoes-$13
1 case del monte diced tomatoes w/mild green chilis-$20.16
1 case del monte diced tomatoes w/basil, oregano and garlic-$20.16
1 case cut asparagus-$30.40
2 cases kidney beans-$13 each
2 cases black beans-$13 each.
I've got the freezer stocked up as well as dry goods in the pantry so my goal is with the exception of every other month doing a Costco run for meat (unless the local store does a good sale) we can hunker down for winter w/only occasional shopping trips for fresh produce and dairy.
