Just curious, has anyone gone to Ama Ama in the evening for just dessert? We have two family birthdays while we will be there, and I was considering that for our celebration. Or other suggestions for sweets? 14 yo boy and his dad who prefers I don't post his age, lol.

I've not done it, but I'm sure it would be fine. Sunset is Ama Ama's busiest time so if your concern is tying up a table for something less than dinner, just book something for after sunset.

Alternatively, there is an ice cream shop across the street from Aulani you can walk to. Its quick service and they have tables outside.

I went for coffee and dessert at lunch time on my last visit. I didn't make a reservation and just asked them when I walked up if it would be okay. They were fantastic about it.
