Anyone do a Star Wars Day at Sea - What ya think?

Princess Leia was always the female face of the franchise.

Yes, “was,” to the older folks. Particularly because there were literally no other women in the Original Trilogy.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Leia and think she’s a great character. She’ll always be an important part of the franchise. I just think that, in terms of giving girls a hero with whom they can identify, Leia is not Disney’s focus going forward.

It’s Rey, for now, and it will soon be Ahsoka when her series comes out.

Honestly, when they announced all of those SW series in development a few years ago, I was surprised (and a little disappointed) that there wasn’t a “young Leia” series announced. But I guess that goes to my point.

The wandering characters we saw last week were: Ezra & Sabine, Boba Fett, Gamorrean guards, First Order Stormtroopers, Rey, Ahsoka Tano, Imperial Officers, Jawas and 1 other that I can't remember.

The deck show had Imperial Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Tuskan Raiders, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren, Boba Fett, Rey, Sith Guards, Chewy, R2D2, C3PO, Ezra, Sabine, the 7th Sister and Ahsoka Tano.

The only glimpses of Mando, Fennec Shand and Grogu were in clips on the Funnel Vision during the deck show (and when they showed the Book of Boba Fett in the WDT).

I'd say this cruise is not for hardcore SW nerds. If you're one of those, lower your expectations. This is not the cruise version of SW Celebration.

It's good for kids and the "light" Star Wars fans, and it's fun for what it is, but if you're the kind of person who likes to discuss things like the differences between IG-11 and IG-88, or whether or not Doctor Aphra's grey morality makes her an anti-hero or a true villain, this is not the cruise you're looking for.

I'll let you guess which category I fall into. 🤓

Not a true villain, also not a hero, or anti hero. She just is herself.

Those wandering characters sound amazing! Where/when did you see them? I want to be sure I have a good chance to see them.

Wow. That sounds much better than the one I did a few years back.

When you say “Sith Guards” - do you mean the Imperial Royal Guard from “Return of the Jedi,” the Red Praetorian Guards from “Last Jedi”? Or the Knights of Ren? Or the Exegol Sith Eternal?

I agree. She is her own thing. But I think she also might be a genuine sociopath.

We just did a SWAS day and it was pretty underwhelming. Parts of it were fun. We enjoyed the music throughout the ship and characters walking around. But, when we were at the pool it was a character coming out for 5 minutes and doing a scene, taking some pictures, then waiting 50 minutes for something to happen again.

No, on the Fantasy last month we were able to have a nice impromptu conversation with Capt Hook about how Smee had gone off to the port on an errand and had we seen him return. It was a lot of fun, and initiated by Hook as he passed us. I got the feeling with the emptier ships the characters are bored and were really getting into the interactions. Even the positioned characters you could walk fairly close up to and have quality time with, much longer it seemed, than we've had in the parks with characters in years. The only downside is all pics have to be bought from Shutters or selfies as the photographers said they still aren't allowed to use your phone/camera anymore.

Some serious magic happened I booked and interior and I have a deluxe ocean view viranda as my stateroom!
