I am going to FL with my son and grandson in July. they will be spending most of their time with my ex but I will have them for 2 days, the 2nd and 3rd of July. My son doesn't want to do Disney (I know, blasphamy).
I told him about the Pirate Cruise in Clearwater and he wants to try with my grandson who is 4, almost 5.
The Clearwater one is $34 for adults and $24 for kids, the John's Pass one is $25 for adults and $20 for kids.
they both have free soda, beer, wine and champagne.
Has anyone been to both and can compare what the kids will do onboard? they both say water gun fight, limbo, story and dancing. I want to go on the one that will keep my grandson the most entertained, I don't think he will enjoy sitting around watching people dance.

They both sound like the one we did out of Annapolis. Our son, 4, loved it. It's been over a year since we did it and he still talks about fighting off Pirate Pete. I would go with which ever one is closer or less expensive.

We did the sunset cruise on Captain Memo's pirate ship in Clearwater. It was a blast. They did some fun stuff with the kids, they got to wear pirate hats and put on mustaches etc. There was music and dancing and the beverages were included. We passed quite a few other boats and ours seemed to be having the most fun! :rotfl: We enjoyed it a great deal and want to go again.

We did the one in Clearwater for my daughters birthday last August. It was a lot of fun for the kids. The crew kept them entertained the adults just hung back and watched.

We did the John's Pass (or St. John's Pass as my kids used to call it!:confused3) Dolphin Cruise last summer. I think both cruises are similar to the one's further up in Clearwater, but cost is the only difference. It seemed easier to get in and out of the John's Pass shopping area also instead of the Clearwater dock area where the boats were. There was a lot of construction going on last summer at John's Pass though. On a side note, the pizza place at John's Pass is excellent!!
