We need a hotel room for 1 night before we check into PO Riverside. I was thinking of trying Priceline.com, has anyone ever been disappointed with a hotol room through them. I am kind of nervous to try it...any info would help.

Thank you in Advance
Susie

I can honestly say I have never been dissapointed when using Priceline. Most recently I got one night at the Wyndham Palace for $55.00. Another site I have been using recently is Hotwire.com. I got great airfare and rental car rates from them. They tell you your price but not the location until you book. If it is only for 1 night you really can't go wrong with Priceline.

I have not been dissapointed with the hotels I have gotten through Priceline. From what I can tell ( and I have always done this) don't bid less than 3 stars and things will be fine.

Priceline has been a great budget tool for us saving us about $350 per trip in lodging alone.. I agree with a previous post, though, don't bid for less than a 3* and everything should be great. TravelSheryl has a great website with pointers and tips for bidding. Be sure to read the FAQ on her site before bidding. Also there is a link on her site for $5/nt. bonus money. I'm unable to post the link because my computer isn't cooperating, but if you do a search of these boards you will find the link.

I agree priceline is great. Recently used it for a trip to Vegas. Was treated very well at the Golden Nugget Hotel and at Budget car rental. No problem. I also booked Wyndham Orlando for 2 weeks in July - I called the hotel - no problem - we are booked - and pre-paid. I haven't called about the car rental yet - but I don't expect a problem. :)

In Feburary, We got Sheraton World in Orlando for $25 a night (a 3*). I just recently got Courtyard by Marriott in DD for $18 a night. I also used priceline for a convention in Harrisburg, PA($30 a night for a 3*) and for a room on the road in Virginia($9) and NC($5).
I have been VERY happy with the hotels! I guess you could call me an addict!
GO For it!!! :D :D

I think we got a pretty good rate. We're staying at the Courtyard by Marriott for 7 nights at 39.00 a night. I don't think that's bad at all since I heard they have great tranportation to all four disney parks and plus you get early entry to the parks. We weren't very concerned with the hotel (As long as they had a pool and are conviently located to the disney area) We look at the hotel as just a place to sleep and swim. I wouldn't go with anything less than a three star though.

Sounds like you guys did great with priceline.
I got the Wyndham Orlando on I-Drive for 2 weeks in July for $30/night plus $20 AMX bonus per night (too bad thats over now). I'm happy with priceline too. It can make a WDW trip much more affordable. I totally agree with you about not bidding lower than a 3 star. The only exception being 2 1/2 in WDW area. I think Lake Bryan something or other is only a 2 1/2 star, but supposed to be nice. All the hotels are listed on the travel sheryls priceline website.
