Hi fellow Disney Lovers! We're getting close to our "Sweatfest 2006" Yes we are going in August :scared1: I'm always looking for a half way decent counter service at MGM, and came across the Flatbread Grill which replaced Studio Catering Co. Has anyone dined there? :listen: Please send along the 411 and thanks :wave2:

What???

I have never even heard of this place... I loooooovveeee flatbread.

Maybe this was WDWs answer to the generally gross CS at MGM. We usually leave and go to Beaches and Cream or somewhere else on our MGM day. :confused3

I was looking at the menus on allearsnet.com and saw this new place. I hope it's good. The counter service at MGM is funky to quote my 8 year old pirate: . Anyone out there that has eaten there? :wave2:

I read that there is no flatbread at the flatbread grill...

Yes! It doesn't surprise me that MGM came up with a CS called "Flatbread Grill" and does not offer any flatbread sandwiches :confused3 :confused3
Someone was asleep at the switch with that one :rotfl2:

hmmm...we stick to TS only at MGM.

We ate at the Flatbread Grill in May. Funny we ate there on a whim - saw the name and wanted flatbread - alas no flatbread at the flatbread grill. I had the grilled chicken with rice and beans. It was good - chicken was nice but the entire meal was very garlicky (sp?). I like garlic but I find it is used way too much as the main flavour. Anyway, dh had the chicken caesar wrap. This was very disappointing, fairly tasty but tiny. It felt like a major waste of a counter service meal (ddp) especially when compared to places like the Flame Tree BBQ.
Cheers!

The Barbecued Pulled Pork Sub was the only thing that looked good enough for us to try. It has a small selection.

Thanks Jen! I guess we will stick with dining outside MGM. What a shame! I'm sure I am not the only one out here on the disboards who is very disappointed with the CS at MGM. There are so many good restuarants in Hollywood and LA that could be "Disneyfied" to fit in with the theme of MGM. One place is Pink's hotdogs. Great dogs and lot's of Hollywood history. Oh well! Thanks everyone :yay:
