I've been talking with Jen from Sassy Design Co for a couple of months now about the Believe invites for our ceremony. She sent me a large pdf of the sample and asked for our pertinent info - since I've sent that, I haven't heard from her and it's been about two weeks. Anyone else working with her now and having the same problems or getting a response? We don't really need them since our group is small enough for word of mouth, but we still want to send these out for our family to have. We're working on a plan B now just incase.

I attempted to get a quote from her several times. She wrote back once asking a question about whether we were set on silver print, or if we would consider a flat color instead. I responded, sent a second response, then sent a third response, with no reply back from her. Then I went ahead and prepared other invitations instead. It just wasn't worth the grief to work with her. Good luck to you. ~Ev

yeah im having the same issue. I sent back my pdf about 2 weeks ago and have not heared anything since. I have a plan B all ready inase but i would rather her believe save the dates instead!

I think she is really busy, but I am with you in tthe concern. I am waiting on some designs. Sarah ebay invit is basically the same, but I think Sassy's open.

I would say at least I'm not the only one, but I don't know if that's a good thing either. Like I said before, it's not like we need an RSVP for these by a certain date, it's more of a formality thing and we really just liked them. I guess I'll give her a little while longer - the price thing is a big question too. She gave me a very general estimate of $2-$4 per. Seeing the ebay auction makes me wonder if this design is available blank somewhere...I know it's in the DFTW brochure as well.

I too am having the same problem so I called my EM and she told me to try Impressions. Shelly so far has been super helpful and even got me some samples within 4 days. I have also been waiting on Sassy to send me a sample of some invitations for over 2 months now. Shelly has been able to help me get things done and is super helpful. I would try her as she does have the licencing info and is able to work with DFTW. Here is her website if you want to take a look- I know it's quite a bit more expensive than Sassy but the help and professionalism is superb.

HTH.

The only thing with impressions is that you can only order a large amount. Im having a small wedding and only need 15 invitations and save the dates max!

Does she do the believe save the dates though?

All I can say to you ladies is if you can wait do so. I was one of the very very very lucky ones to get Sassy Designs to create our custom invitations. I've said this before ont hsi board but I will say it again in their defense. They are professional its just there are certain things that are beyond their control right now. Think of this as a second job for them (i think - sorry if I am wrong) so its not like they are doing this full-time. Probably no thanks to me and another lovely bride on this board Sassy designs have been bombarded with requests and brides wanting them to create their invtes. It has probably become a huge job for them. That being said they were great to work with. I simply loved my invitations from them. Adn once I was workign with SD they were on top of getting my invites to me. Put it this way: I cried when I got them in the mail because they were os beautiful.

I know it is frustrating and hard so if you can't wait go somewhere else. But their work is professional and comes out great. I don not want them getting a bad name.

nad you can not beat their price. When I went to other places and I won't name them. They were going to charge me 1,500 dollars for 75 invitations!!! crazy.

I too had decided to use her back before the holidays. I sent her the color preference I had as well as the mickey theming I wanted but didn't hear back from her for over 45 days. Her work is beautiful, the samples she came up with are awesome but I couldn't chance waiting for them any longer so I went ahead with this company and am thrilled with my invites.

As a business owner myself I understand about being bombarded with inquires. However, as a professional,I understand that if I am too busy and can not meet my customers' demands within a certain time frame I refer them to another company that may be able to get the job done within a reasonable amout of time. That's just professional courtesy.

Maybe thats true...I just don't want to see her get a bad name because people keep posting threads. If you can't wait go to someone else and you will be just as happy. There are plenty of other ones out there and you can try and make them yourself.

Luvndisney, there have been many threads here singing praises for this business, and you yourself acknowledged that the avalanche of new inquiries was possibly attributed to your own rave reviews of her service. It seems only appropriate that the same venue (this forum) be used to inquire about difficulties with service, since it was also used to promote her business as being reliable. ~Ev

I agree w/ Luv...I am waiting but I think that is has to do with the fact that she is busy and there was a post that I got nailed on about posting peoples names on the board dealing with businesses. I would just reccommend that if you want invits from her that you get on it as soon as possible realize that she is busy and has a life and is doing the best that she can. Good things come to those who wait.

I absolutely agree with everyone and am not trying to start any arguments. I agree that both sides should be discussed. Happy invitation hunting!

I Just had a quote from Shelley at Impressions for her to make the same custom invitations and for 25 invitations (thats the minimum), envelopes and R.S.V.P card the total came to $1200!!! No Wonder Jen at sassy has been so busy!

Oh I know Laura, I went to Shelley first of all for mine and I was blown away by the cost, which was why I went ahead and made my own in the end and saved a huge amount of $$$ but that said I had to go to a Scrapbooking store to get the supplies and I've prolly now spent all the money I saved on Scrapping as my new hobby LOL that said I've only done a few layouts but I have enough scrapping stuff to do at least a few books :rolleyes1

Oh and keeping on subject I love Sassy's designs and I'd be more than happy to wait for her as long as a) she was keeping me updated and b) she was going to hit the date I needed the invites by.

My fiancée and I are currently waiting to hear back from Jen as well. Her website is down, and I was wondering if anyone had her phone number that they could PM to me?

Like Sam, I ended up making our invitations. They were fun to do, but I also spent too much at the scrapbooking store, for padded mailers, and for envelopes! It adds up fast, but I love the results:

I'm sure y'all could make something similar if you're tired of waiting. Haha, I'll probably offer these with my extra envelopes and mailers on eBay after reading all the posts about people trying to find custom invites! ~Ev =P
