My DD is planning on majoring in computer animation, but we trying to accomplish the traditional college experience while earning a competitive/marketable portfolio for a career in Animation. While we have checked into private art schools such as Full Sail, DMAC, Columbia, Art Institute...they are specific Art only degrees without any gen ed back up in case she changes her mind down the road. Anyone double majoring? We live in the midwest and really, none of the state schools that have a program that can compete at all with the specialized schools...sort of like throwing $70 away so that a DMAC Grad can land the job, if you get my drift. Anyway...anyone else dealing with this?
