Anyone cruise on Carnival Valor??

My DH and I are planning to cruise on the Carnival Valor for our 10 year anniversary in April 2008. We will be stopping in Grand Caymen, Belize, Honduras and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Anyone have any experience with this ship or these ports???

We were on the Valor on March 5th. We went as a family with my parents and our two kids. Everybody had a great time. Grand Cayman is nice if you like high end shopping. We did a private jeep tour to a beach called Rum Point. It was a beautiful uncrowded beach. In Belize we went shopping at the pier. The water was very choppy the day we were there so we were very happy that we did not plan any type of snorkling tours. The popular tour to do in Belize is Cave Tubing. Also the cayes around Belize are suppose to have nice snorkling. In Belize you dock in Belize city and if you leave the port area it does look rough in an underdeveloped poor way. In Isa Roatan we did a catamaran snorkling tour through Carnival and we really enjoyed it. One the way back to the port we had a native talk about the Island and life on the island. Roatan is also poor but we didn't think that it seemed as rough. There is a flea market just outside the port gates that was fun to shop at. Both Belize and Roatan sell carved wooden bowls but they are MUCH cheaper in Roatan. Because of hurricane damage our last port was changed from Cozumel to Costa Maya, Mexico. Unfortunately because of 12 ft swells we were unable to dock and missed that port. We were suppose to do the Chaccoben Ruin tour with Native Choice Tours. I have read may glowing reviews for this tour company. I guess we will just have to go back and try again. A good web site to get other opinion about the ship and the differents ports is Cruise Critic dot com. Just stay away from the hot button topics like wearing jeans in the dining room! We are going on the Carnival Valor Aug 2006, just about 4 months away
This is our 2nd cruise. It will be the first cruise for my youngest who will be 2 when we go.
We will be celebrating our 13th anniverary the week we are on the cruise as well as my 42 birthday ... It will be a very special week for me and my husband as well as my 3 kids. I can not wait
