Anyone continually look for a "better deal"?

My obsessive Disney planning is over the top. Even though I'm happy with my current package...I'm STILL looking for a better deal...AND we leave in 5 weeks!

When I decided I wanted to go to Disney for Thanksgiving I booked a GV Poly room with AAA. Happy that I wasn't paying rack rate, but hoped there would be a better deal. Then the Disney Visa package came out, but there were no rooms at the Poly or anywhere on the monorail for my dates, same thing with the general package codes...no rooms.

Then I changed from AAA to AP (even though I didn't have an AP).
Then switched from AP to room-only.
THEN switched from room-only to the package, which HAD rooms available at the Poly.

Now I keep watching the code boards JUST IN CASE something better comes out. Now reality is that there is nothing coming out for my T-day dates, but I can't tear myself away in fear that "something better" could come down the line.

This trip needs to just get here!

I do the same thing! I get obsessed with getting the best deal. We are going in December and I have changed my room-only reservation 3 times in 2 weeks. My latest rate at BC is $245/night, which I'm pretty happy with.

I do the same thing with airfare. I usually go ahead and book and then watch for better fares, then switch (which on SWA is free). Usually from Kansas City I can get fares between $54 and $69 through SWA's DING feature.

I am happy too with what I have booked (at least in the $$$ that I can afford) still looking to see if I can get that great deal to move up into deluxe. Ha! I dont think that will happen but I still keep looking and trying!

I do the very same thing. We booked also for T'giving week at Coronado with the AAA discount. I want a better deal and am still looking. Wish they have FREE dining!!

I'm paying full rack rate and full package for Easter. I pretty much have it paid off. I get free mini-golf, 1 voucher for Planet Hollywood, but I have to use it before 6 p.m. and a extra 30 minutes if I rent an hour on a water craft. I think some kind of picture too. So at least I have something.

Yep....I keep finding myself doing the same thing. We are going the first week of Dec. when everything is pretty much booked. At first I had a room only ressie, then switched to the package, then switched to a AAA package (originally all AAA rates were taken on the package and then it opened up), then the codes came out and I tried those without any luck. I am happy with the AAA rates as we saved over $400, but I am in the same boat. My head knows that there won't be anything to come out as my dates are pretty much blacked out since they are pretty much full, but I keep hoping. Maybe we'll have extra pixie dust during the YOAMDs. :cool1:

I haven't been doing that in the past....once I made the ressie, that was it, I was done. But, after reading all the helpful info on the boards I did watch the rates for our upcoming ressie online. Our rate at the Dolphin dropped about $20 online so I called and asked if the rate had possibly gone down for our reservation and it had gone down $25.00 and they credited me. That kind of savings was worth watching for! :Pinkbounc
