Darn-it! We'll be there just as the clouds come in! WAAA!! I am hoping the weather will change - I just gotta see them fireworks! How often do they cancel fireworks due to weather????

They will cancel the fireworks due to high winds or heavy rain. If the rain is light, they still might do the fireworks. Wind makes it too dangerous to shoot off the fireworks (and in this case it's the fire marshall that cancels them). For rain, I imagine it might make it hard to keep the fuses (or whatever lights the fireworks) lit.

We've been watching them pretty closely too since we're there Feb. 26-Mar 2nd. I'm trying not to worry about it. I've noticed that the weather has changed 3 times in the last 3 days so I don't really put much stock in how accurate it is. With any luck the rain will stay away when we're there.

Any Anaheim locals out there who can define what "showers" means, what is your local weather guy saying, etc?

We'll be in town next week as well, and the forecast for Tue-Wed (2/28-3/1) says "showers". Weather.com says 40% chance on Tue, 60% chance on Wed. Here in Phoenix, "showers" means that there is a possible chance of maybe having the likelihood of the opportunity for the potential of a slight probability that it will sprinkle for 12.45 seconds on some random city block -- but that's just a guesstimate. Either that, or it means the weather guy is going to take a shower that night. :confused3

They're forecasting 80 degrees and sunshine for the same days here in Phoenix, so I would guess that that means the weather won't be doing much in Anaheim.

weather.com is saying showers for Mon & Tue (27th & 28th) but only a 20-30% chance. The rest of the week before and after look fine. But I'd love to hear from a local about what the weathermen are saying.

Yep I am watching the weather like crazy. We also arrive on Saturday night and begin our trip on Sunday. We have a 6 week old, 1 year old and 2 two year olds so it is a bit of a concern for us. We won't cancel anything but we might have to try to push as much as possible into Sunday in case we have to spend some time in the hotel on Monday and Tuesday.

I have been so excited about this trip for so long and this rain is putting a crink in it. If it were just us adults I wouldn't be as worried. :worried:

Its lovely out today, warm and sunny. We are about an hour north of Disney. I didnt catch the local news, but it has been changing so much lately its hardly worth watching. It cracks me up how they spend 30 seconds on the weather here and 2 minutes on the traffic.

My youngest is 17 months and I am upset about it,too. We arrive on Wednesday. I am just hoping it'll all work out. It rained when I was ther ein October, too. The first day it was in the 90's and then RAIN the next day. I didn't mind so much that time, though. The baby sat out that trip and got to bond with Gramma & Grandpa! :)

I hate that weathercom keeps changing the forecast. I am just hoping that 40% chance of rain means light showers and we can hide out during that time.

What do you plan on doing with your youngest while it rains? This is my concern. Doesn't help any that we all came down with colds this week. :worried:

I am 60 miles south to DL and the weather here can be totally different than DL.

Here is the link I use for weather.

I love the hourly chance of rain they give.

Hope it helps.
I think I'll go with the forecast that says there's a 99% chance that the weatherdudes don't have any clue at any time. lol Your link says a chance of rain Mon-Thurs, while weather.com now says a chance of rain on Mon-Tues (instead of Tues-Wed).

At this rate, it'll probably snow, and that would be fine with us. :teeth:

Weather is harder to predict along the coast, at least that's what I've always heard, because it changes quickly. Inland (and I have no idea where some of you might be living) it is easier to predict because it doesn't change as quickly.

I didn't realize Southern California weather is so unpredictable, though it makes sense now that I think about it; we picture it eternally sunny and dry! :sunny:

Hopefully you will all have a wonderful, dry week in Disneyland next week! But if it rains, at least the park should be less crowded!

The only for sure way to know that it's raining in SoCal is to go outside. If there is wet stuff falling from the sky it's raining.

Panicing over weather that is more than 24 hours a way is a waste of time. Really, it is. It's very rare that a storm predicted this far out turns into anything at all.

Ok so let's go with what weather.com says and not what accu-weather.com says? Deal??

The weather was beautiful yesterday. A litle warm in direct sunlight but the shade was very nice. Didn't see any clouds out, either.

If you want to. They both tend to be incorrect though. The local stations use accuweather for their reporting.

The latest weather report is for rain starting Sunday afternoon-evening and off and on through Friday.

According to weather.com it's 100% rain on Mon., 50% on Tues. and clear the rest of the week. It totally stinks that CA would get rain on our vacation... I've had this planned for months. Dang it! :( I hope it's just spotty showers.
