anyone cat. 12 w/ASSIGNED cabin?

is there anyone out there on the CA to FL repo cruise that's in cat 12? do you have a gty or assigned cabin?

(and if anyone on any cruise got a cat 12 w/assigned cabin, please post!)

i never see anyone mention they're in cat 12 on any cruises. maybe that's just probability, thousands of members on DIS, only 13 cabins per boat, what are the chances someone's in cat 12 and posting?

hmm, my wife says she thinks everyone in cat 12 gets a gty, no one gets assigned cabins. i wonder if that's true. then come cruise time, they upgrade some and fill the rest into the 13 cabins.

lthouseprincess, that's a great price! we got $2767.67 for 2 adults 1 child (3 year old at time of trip). we got it through dcl directly on their website about 45 minutes after they made their announcement about the cruises on wednesday, as soon as they became available online.

do you have a costco near you, and do you have a membership? i think memberships cost around $40-$50/year. we got our reservation transfered to costco travel because they saved us $176, for a grand total of $2591.67 for our cruise.

costco will be able to keep you at your original price bracket and may give you a bigger discount. obviously, if they can't save you money, you could just leave it with dcl, if that's who you booked with. if you booked with a travel agency, you probably can't transfer to costco.

WE CALLED COSTCO LAST NIGHT AND MOVED OUR RESERVATION OVER TO THEM AND IT SAVED US 200! ROCK ON!! WE NOW HAVE THE 3 OF US AT 2786!!


AS FAR AS THE CAT 12, YES ALL ROOMS ARE GTY, NONE ARE ASSIGNED.

awesome lthouseprincess! gotta love costco! be aware (they probably told you this when you transfered) that they want full payment 90 days before the cruise rather than 60 days with dcl and other agencies.

we were also told by costco, though others on this board have said otherwise, that we can't make partial payments with costco.

i assume you made your reservation through dcl originally and not through a travel agent?

Correct we did make it with DCL. We are keeping or fingers crossed that they will make a CM discount open. the rumors are there! Costo told us if they do, we can move it back to DCL for that

how much are the discounts? they've got to be pretty good to beat costco.
