Anyone Cancelling their trip due to pending war?

This is a little off topic but it is nice to see someone from Wasaga Beach. We have a cottage near Elmvale.
I too, hope everyone can go on their vacations and not be too anxious about them.

That is a shame she cannot just be happy that you are able to go and do something that makes you happy. I hate when others try to guilt me out of things.

But don't feel guilty. Those men and women are over there fighting this war so we will have the freedom to go and come as we please. They wouldn't want you to sit at home and dwell on it if you are able to do otherwise.

I hope you have a wonderful trip, and hopefully by the time you go, this will all be resolved!

I know some kinfolk who are like that. I think that they are probably saying those things out of their own fears. Some people are just more free spirited than others. I think you have to do what is right for you and your family. Good luck!

No way, no change of plans for us. We are celebratin DS 12th B'day, Spring Break, We leave for WDW and OKW in 2 days.. can't wait. Am I slightly hesitant??? Maybe, but I work in the Sears Tower.... so I think I will feel safer in WDW than sitting at my desk.

I think one of the best things my DH says is:

"Don't worry about things you can't control."

This is one of those things. We are not going to stop what is happening, so we should live our lives as we feel is best for us. Who knows what tomorrow may bring.

I just wanted to thank those folks who commented on my dmom's opinion of our going to WDW.

I love her, but she has a really hard time being positive about a lot of things. I told her exactly what you all said -- that there are those fighting for our freedom to do things like take vacations and make memories with our children. I asked if she thought we should just make ds sit home and miss his much-anticipated trip and of course she said no. I thnk bringing up the grandkid gave her a little perspective.

Good for you, Dizneeyore!!! Go and have a great time. Toast to our country, our military, our freedom and Walt Disney World for being their to help us have a great time, even when things aren't so good!

No - We just booked yesterday Wednesday. If our young men & women are going to war to defend our free way of life in this great nation. Then I feel its our responcibility to go on with normal life in our great free country.
