Anyone cancel and use credit with Southwest?

I have a question....

I am considering cancelling flights we have booked with Southwest right now. I know that they are non-refundable but that you can take the amount in credit. Has anyone ever canceled a flight with them and rebooked something else through Southwest Vacations? They have "packages" etc but I have never flown with them before and am not sure if they would allow the change.

Thank you

I've cancelled and gotten other flights with the credits but I've never done any of their vacations.

From southwestvacations' FAQ:

Please note that Southwest Airlines travel credits which consist of six (6) alpha-numeric characters, can not be applied towards a vacation package.

The OP is asking about canceling a flight booked with Southwest, and using the credit with Southwest Vacations.

Apologies PP, I assumed they were interchangeable credits and misread your post. This all makes perfect sense since I just read elsewhere that SW Airlines and SW Vacations are two completely separate companies and that SW Vacations has nothing to do with the airline itself. Interesting!
