Hello - We are planning a short visit to Disneyland November 26-28th, staying at the Grand Californian. Guest Services mentioned we could purchase a 3 foot artificial xmas tree for our room for $208 + tax. It was described as having 5 little plush characters, 10 mickey ornaments, 5 edible cookies, and then a monogrammed hat on top. Has anyone seen or purchased one of these trees either this year or in previous years? Just wondering if it's worth it. Thanks!

That is alot of money or at least it is to me. When I went last yr for Christmas :santa: I bought a yankee candle smelly hanging thing, it had the smell of a tree but without the big cost.

For three days? Not sure if it would be worth it. Especially if it's still in November.

We got one last year when we were there for a week before Christmas. Was the price value of it equal to the price paid? no. However, it had an emotional value that I would have paid more for.

If you do get one, I would suggest getting two of the battery powered LED light strings.

Would it maybe be better to get a small light up tree from Target and put some disney ornaments on it?

Yep, and it would save you about $150 bucks. Shoot, have an extra meal at Storyteller's with that!

No way, that's way too much money for a 3 foot tree! Even if I was there a whole week I couldn't justify spending that much. Sooooo many better things to spend that kind of money on at disney! ;)

That is crazy expensive. Get a tree from target or wal mart and decorate it yourself!

We are going to be there for Christmas, and there is NO way we are paying for that tree! There are 3 groups of us going, and we are all staying at the PP. I bought 3 little trees, lights and decorations for all of them, and have spent like $50. on all of that! I will spend a little more, because I want to get everyone a special ornament but there is no way I would spend that kind of money! If I did, no one would get presents!

i was thinking it would be super duper special for that amount of money, but they don't have pictures of it, so it would be a gamble. The idea was to get it for our room, then it would be a present for my one sister who will be going back home and spending xmas alone. But my other sister has convinced me that maybe we could take a nice artificial tree, maybe one of those lighted $15 ones from Target. Then we could buy some pretty ornaments while at Disneyland, then send it home with my sister.

Guest Services also mentioned they had xmas stockings they could put in our rooms for only $80 each. :scared1:

I hope it is filled with expensive truffles for that price!!!
