Anyone buy the Cdn tickets through CAA?

We bought our Canadian tickets through CAA and they look just like the other ones we used to get (bar code and scratch of bit on back), except it says "Canadian Resident Exchange Certificate" on the front.

I was trying to enter them into my account last night and it said it was invalid with no code indicating why. Have I royally screwed up and have to present these to Guest Services in order to get tickets (thus eliminating any chance to book FPPs)?

I think you should be able to enter them in. It may take a day or two to process that they’re active?

I guess calling Disney to sort things out is an option as well?

The certificate looks like this on the front:

Those exchange certificates have a very long number on the back of them. Enter ALL of the digits and it should work. We added our exchange certificates to our reservation just 3 weeks ago and it worked fine. All 4 of our exchange certificates worked fine.

All try again. I used the app to scan the bar code, which has all the numbers, including the last 4 under the scratch thing. I'm worried that they were used in the office, because you don't have to scratch to get the whole code if you're using the app. It just said it was invalid and gave no reason.

UPDATE: I just tried it again. It was working. I don't know what happened last night, but it could have been something to do with the app. There was an app update today, which is why I thought I'd give it another shot.

I still think it's strange that there's no code to add and you can just scan the bar code. I mean anyone could assign those tickets, then sell them to someone else. Very lax security, if you ask me.

You must be breathing a sigh of relief @FigmentSpark!

I was going to suggest taking them back into a CAA store to see if they would replace them but I am happy to hear you go them to work

Sigh of relief, for sure. :woohoo:

And yes, if they weren't working by tomorrow and after a call to Disney, I was taking a trip back to CAA. Luckily, it was a technical error. A stupid one at that.

I had an issue with ours last year or the year before when I was trying to add them in too low a light (it was too dark) and the app just kept erroring out without an explanation. I tried it later in the kitchen with bright lights on and it worked fine so if anyone else has similar issues in the future maybe try turning on another light lol.

Are these tickets the same deal/price that's currently on the Disney site? Do you know if they have all the ticket options (we're planning 5-day hoppers with the water parks)? I'd love to save the credit card foreign transaction fees if I can.

I bought mine a few months back. They were actually a few dollars cheaper. Also, as the transaction from CAA takes place in CAD, they had to do the conversion. They gave me a great rate.

When we bought our set of DL tickets during the last CAD promotion they told us they were an extra 5% off the listed price online. Between that and paying in CAD and thus eliminating the FEx fees it was quite a bit cheaper.

Oh and I believe they can do the tickets in any configuration Disney currently sells. We've bought both WDW and DL tickets under the CAD deals and never had any issues getting exactly what we wanted.
