Anyone bought Crocs for their kids?

I have a DD7 and DD4 and I usually order the Lands End action sandals every year for them for our WDW trips.

I was thinking about trying out the Crocs for them instead this year since I have really enjoyed my pair, plus they have purple and pink - their fav colors!

I was curious if the kids' sizes ran big, too and opinions from anyone whose kids have worn them. Did they like them? Were they able to keep them on their feet?

Thanks!

My girls both have crocs and love them. They do run big so we bought them a size smaller and they fit great. They wear them everywhere and never have a problem keeping them on and no blisters. :Pinkbounc

My dd is on her second pair. But, she is already in adult woman sizes. So probably not much help for you as far as true kids sizing goes. I will say that her Crocs were the only shoes she wore for our last two trips to WDW. And they are the shoes most often on her feet when she goes to school. Oh, she's almost 12 now.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Curious as to where you bought them... Did you order from Crocs directly or did you find the kid sizes elsewhere?

And did they wear them at the water parks? I was wondering if they'd stay on in the slides and such.

My DD's (6 and 11) have some. We got theirs at Payless. They LOVE them! My DD11 wears hers to school. All 3 of us wore them around WDW this summer. We wear ours constantly!

My wife and oldest daughter both had crocs and hated them my daughter got terrible blisters from them on hte arch of her foot and my wife got terribly sore feet with them so we tossed them in the trash.

my daughter loved her crocs during disney, she never even put on her sneakers. me on the other hand did not really enjoy them, my feet slid around alot, but they came in handy for the everyday rain storm in august. (no wet sneakers) i purchased the crocs at dicks sporting goods store.

The "M's" 6 and 9 both have had Crocs for a while. They LOVE them!
My youngester DD was so proud of herself wearing them to school and showed her teacher "See I have Crocs". The teacher said "Honey, those are called clogs". Too funny!
The do run a bit big and we got ours at Dillards.

Lord, someone did. I'd see entire families coming towards me with bright pink or yellow or lime or orange Crocs on all last week at WDW. Not a lot of dads wearing them, but the mothers had obviously bought them for every child in the family.

I was thinking, gosh...that plastic and sweaty feet. A blister factory waiting to happen. I hope that wasn't the case...

I'll stick to my cotton socks with padded sole and tennis shoes at WDW. (I'm pretty crafty. I'll slip flip flops and a plastic bag in my backpack and put them on before Kali River Rapids, etc. When I get off, I change, and voila! No wet shoes!)

Never had a blister, sweaty feet etc and the good thing is if they get wet the dry very quickly because of the holes.

That's good to hear. I couldn't bear the thought of poor babies crying at WDW because they had blisters.

I was thinking about stuff like that the whole trip. I would see kids (I'm talking toddlers or younger) who looked absolutely miserable, drenched in sweat, lying there like limp dishrags or crying in their strollers, and think, "Gosh, they can't even articulate what they are feeling, like Mommy, I'm hot, or my feet hurt, or I have a blister, etc." It made me sad. Little kids get a bum deal...they basically do whatever we adults want them to, right down to what time to eat or use the bathroom.

Maybe I should order them before and let the girls break them in...

I personally had a hot spot on the top of one of my feet, too. I thought it was going to turn into a blister, but it never did and it finally went away. I have been wearing them nonstop. I tried wearing a pair of my flip flops the other day and I was up all that night with my feet killing me.

I do have to admit they can make my feet sweaty if it is really hot. I ordered a pair of the more open Nile style from Zappos (I didn't see that they had kid sizes.) and they look more like athletic type sandals. My Mom thought they looked more normal. :rotfl:

I like how I can wash them in the sink with soap and water and they look like new. They really do dry fast, too.

My dd13 wears her pink ones and loves them.
I have a few pairs and I wear my black ones almost every day.
My DH now wears them too.
You can get them at Dick's sporting goods now.
They are also the BEST for wearing at the beach.

OK, I got my first pair (Beach style) at Dick's. I don't recall seeing very small sizes. So they carry the kid sizes, too? Did they have alot of colors in the smaller sizes? I hate to order them online cause I'd be really guessing on the size for them!

When I bought Crocs for me and my oldest dd (women's size) in early spring the kid's Crocs were not in yet, so I bought the Payless version for my younger dd. She loves them and since it's still pretty warm here, has worn them almost daily to school.

My kids - DD6 & DS10 - both have crocs and love them. They wore them ALL the time for our trip in august and never had a problem. (DS has yellow and DD has purple and I have lime green. :) ) Sizes were just a bit large but not enough to be a problem.

I have ordered several times from www.taylorshoes.com (I believe that's the website..) and have had GREAT (and quick!) service from them. (Check to see if my testimonial is still on the front page. ;) )

Perfect! Thanks for the link. I see they carry the Highland style and I had wanted to order a pair of those for winter. I haven't seen many places that carry those!

I bought my DD (4 years old and small for her size) a pink pair of Crocs at Northsoms this spirng. We were shopping for something else and she spotted them and had to have shoes like mommies. I was turned off by the price (the same as mine.) but in the end did it anyway. OMG, they are all she wore all summer. Infact she would put other shoes on and then change because they didn't feel right. We have more then gotten our $30 out of them. They were perfect for the summer. She has wore them everywhere, in the ocean, camping, pool, parks, they even look cute with dresses if you are a kid in pink ones. I wash them buy hand in the sink with dish degtergent. They clean up nice. She will were socks with them too. Infact I recomend wearing socks at 1st to wear them in.

I recomend buying them before hand and having the kids wear them ahead of time (even just around the house) I think you should do this for every pair of shoes you bring to WDW, not just crocs.

My DD loves her pink pair so much I got her a purple pair the next size up so I will be ready when she out grows them. They should be a little big, not touching. If you get hot spots yours is most likely a little bit too small. I got her the smallest possible size, 9-10 I think. She wears a 9 in shoes normally (even a 8 in some.)

I got my 14 year old neice a pair (the same size as mine so she would stop stealing mine.)

I even started a thread back when I bout the shoes, something like "I bought my 4 year old DD pink crocs." If you do a search you will find it.

She is croc girl now. You wouldn't belive the comments we get on them. She really loves them. I am a litte concerned about what we are going to do this winter.

I too am looking for a pair of Highlands for winter. Crocs is discontineing them so they don't have them on their website anymore. I followed the link and was all ready to order them, they don't seem to actually have any (at least not in my size or any other size I could find, but I didn't try every size and color.) :guilty: They are the replacing Highlands with Aspen. I hadn't seen them before, but if you click on the coming soon at Taylor shoes it shows a picture, I think I like them. I gues I have to wait for the Apsen to come in. I don't like the new boots BTW.

I just ordered a pair of niles from the croc website, wow the price for them at Taylorshoes are good. However they don't have many colors in, they do have pink my size. I will have to think about it. (or at least wait until my navy ones come in and see how I like them.)
