Has anyone bought a gingerbread house at DiSney? Did they taste good? How much did they cost?

Has anyone bought gingerbread cookies at Disney? Were they any good?

The gingerbread house cost $65.

I bought a couple of the cookies, they were like sugar cookies only made with ginger. They were alright. Nothing overly fantastic. My oldest didn't like them.

I got a Gingerbread Man cookie once at the EPCOT Germany. I remember liking it!

We bought a house at the GF. We have eaten a few bits of things that got broken, but we're saving it for Christmas to eat. Keeping it wrapped up tight until then.

On Friday we bought a ginger bread "shingle" at GF and it was nice and fresh with a thin chocolate layer/base.
Last night they were selling them at the Beach Club and the "shingle" had a white chocolate "Beach Club" logo on it.

The gingerbread Mickey men are my all time favorite cookie. I get one (or three) every time we go.

I just did a little post. We got the shingles at the Grand Floridian and did not care for them.

Their ginger bread is very mild tasting. I like mine with a little more flavor to it, but it was ok.

The Gingerbread House at the Beach Club (which is made by the Chef there, not the Chef at the Grand Floridian) is only $35. I prefer the taste of the Chef's gingerbread at the BC better than the Chef's gingerbread at the GF. Just my personal taste.

Last year we bought a couple shingles at the GF. None of us cared for it - kind of tough.

Has anyone tried bringing the gingerbread houses on a plane? Was there a problem carrying them on?

I have heard that they do well as a carry on. I can't wait to get a gingerbread Micky !!

The gingerbread house from the GF comes packed a large Mickey box (about 1' square) and not corrugated. Even with the little jostling that we had, we still had a few broken things (mushrooms, tiny gingerbread man at the front door).

I wonder if you can order a house in advance so that it's waiting for you when you arrive. We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. Does anyone know which bakery I could call? Thanks!

I've bought gingerbread cookies from the gingerbread house at GF, and they were just ok. I thought they would be better.

Nope, it's first come, first served. You have to pick it up yourself. Unless you can get someone else to purchase it for you.

We will be staying at the POR and I was wondering if you can have a gingerbread house ordered and waiting? Or delivered during your stay? I would love for DD to have one for Christmas morning from Santa since we are not doing stockings...I mean HE, SANTA, THE BIG RED ELF is not doing stockings. )Whew I almost forgot there for a minute). Would I have to call the GF bakery? anyone??????
