Anyone booked with CAA not using Diamond Parking?

Hi there,
We usualy book with CAA so we get the Diamond Parking. Because we were suppose to fly and I wanted to buy the plane tickets separatly I booked with Disney. Our plans changed and we are driving. I checked with CAA and I can't just get the card alone. Has anyone booked with CAA and won't be using the Diamond Parking card? I could send you a pre-stamped enveloppe...

1990 to 1992, off site with DB+ friends 1994 off site with DB+ family/
1995 off site DB, DS (2) and DD on the way 1998 off site DB, DS DD/
1999 off site DB, DS, DD, + family/ 2000 to 2003 DB, DS, DD All star Sports
2004 to 2008 Pop Century with DB
(after 20 years, let’s say DH), DS, DD and family
2008 to 2009 Pop Century DH, DS, DD/ 2010 and 2011 Pop DH, DD and her friend
September 2012 DH and me alone for the 1st time.
Can’t wait to check inn at the POP!!!

It's a fact but in the past years they never made a verification, we just showed the card...

A few years back, I purchased one on ebay for $5.00. If you purchase a Disney parks ticket through CAA, they will sometimes give you a Parking Pass also.

Umm, so you know it's not allowed, but you're ok with doing it anyway? Our last Diamond pass had our name on it. What are you going to do if they ask to see ID? Disboards has a rule against trying to get away with breaking Disney rules and policies. This thread may be locked soon.

Is this the same pass that I am thinking of? A Pass that lets you park in a preferred spot at the parks? Mine never had a name on it and I had two one time and I gave one to a friend to use when they were there. I do not think that by letting someone else use your pass that was given to you is breaking Disney rules. If I was booked on a vacation and could not go at the last minute but my son/daughter and their families could go, I would see no harm in giving the pass to them also. This is not like parking for free at DTD and using the bus to go to the parks. I could be wrong but the ticket that I had did not state anything on it about this....but then again, maybe we are not talking about the same pass. JMHO

We are talking about the same one. It is not like frauding the parking fee... We are in a Disney Resort anyway.

Obviously, these passes are different than the ones that I got. The ones with the name on are from personalized Vacation packages purchased through CAA. The ones that I had were just plain vouchers good for the current year that only had blackout dates on the back...no names / nothing. I went to CAA and purchased 2 PH tix and she just went to a booklet and ripped off a parking pass. Two weeks later I went and purchased two more tix and she ripped off another parking voucher and gave it to me. She was handing them out like candy at Halloween night.

You are absolutely right. They are not the same. So a great big fat mea culpa on the whole nontransferrable thing.

You really had me curious, so I just called my local CAA office. Turns out that the vouchers in the vacation package are as I said: printed with the name and dates of the guest and marked nontransferrable. BUT!! The parking passes given out when you go to the office and just buy tickets are blank, so you CAN give them to friends etc. Thanks for helping me clear that up.

This is why I love Disboards......everyone learns something new from here. I had no idea that CAA gave out parking passes with a name on them. Thanks for the info!!
