Anyone booked ADR's recently?

Has anyone booked ADR's lately with this new system they have in place. I've been keeping my eye on the restaurants forum where there is a thread keeping the news up to date regarding the on line system, which is yet to be put into place but people are posting daily about how long its taking them to get through to book on the phone and its hours in some cases! Will be booking ours next month and I'm not looking forward to it.

Well, I've just done a test run and I got through to an agent in 2 and a half minutes after the automated bit.

Strange, I wonder why so many people are complaining of waiting so long. The day I've got to ring my sons will be on a teacher training day so can't stay on the phone too long - I know they are old enough to look after themselves its just they can't keep quiet when I'm on the phone!

Booked our reservations about 10 days ago. I was really worried about it after reading the dining thread. I got through after about 15 minutes and got almost everything I wanted.....except the Sci fi restaurant at Hollywood Studios which must be really popular! Im sure its improving day by day and you wont have any problems

I have phoned 4 times in last 2-3 weeks. When making reservations before May 26 I have got thorugh no problem. On the two occasions I was booking post May 26 (they have a split system at the moment issuing two types of ADR numbers depending wherther before or after 26 May) both times aiwted almost 45 mins

we did ours last week for begining of may. Got through after about 2 mins, but that CM's comp was playing up, so we then had to wait another 2 mins roughy. The only place we didn't get was Le Cellier. We will keep trying for that one!

Hopefully others experience here is more the norm.
I think our first day will be up at the end of this month. Fingers crossed

I called at about 18.30 UK time on the Disney UK number - got through in a couple of minutes and then transferred over to another CM who took ADR's.

Only made a couple (but did manage to get Sci-Fi when most are posting they couldn't!!). All in all c20 mins - but around 10 of those were spent by the CM trying to locate our actual reservation!!

Suppose if 'everyone' is calling at 07.00am (US time) then there's bound to be queues!! staggering your call time could work in your favour (but suppose you could miss an ADR?) think you need to work out how much you want the ADR v how long you want to pend on hold!!

Out of curiosity, what date are you going to Sci fi? I havent got the ressies in front of me but I think I asked for the 26 or 27 May 09 (Cant remember exactly *** I kept changing the parks around after reading crowd levels from Tour Guide Mike!!!) Anyway, I thought it was strange that she didnt have anything at all showing for that whole day. Do you think it was a system glitch? Especially when we got everything else we wanted including a character meal at the Crystal Palace with no problems. We took the 50's Prime Time which she offered us instead. At the end of the day Im quite easy going as long as Ive got a TS meal on that day I dont really mind. Just thought thought the kids might like it *** I heard rumours they might make them eat their veggies at the 50's rest. Id like to see them try!

We're going 11th June - late lunch at 3.45pm - whch was our choice!

rang last week twice got through 2nd time in about 5 mins called uk time 7pm, 1st time was on hold for about 40 mins about 1pm uk time,,,

Could someone post the UK dining number for me? Does this mean we don't pay international rates but still get through to WDW dining just the same? Sorry for the stupid questions, have always rung the American number previously!!!

I phoned Disney UK a few months ago to get a quote for a holiday and noticed one of the options was 'dining' .. the person I spoke to about the holiday was in america so I assume that we pay domestic 0870 prices but speak to the US? I'm not sure tho..

The number I called was:

0870 2424900

and I believe that you can also ring

0208 2221000 (ask for the 'travel company')... to try get around the 0870 number!! .. that's my plans when I book our ADRs next month

You can only use the UK Disney number to make your ADRs if you have booked with the UK Walt Disney Travel Co.

I use a telediscount number which only charges you 1p per minute.

There are a few, but the one I use is 08448617878

Then you ring 001 407 WDW DINE after the short message and you're talking to Disney Dining for 1p a minute.
