We have booked a villa holiday in Kissimee with Travel City and I just wondered if anyone else had and got a choice of where their villa would be.

We were told that all villas were only allocated on arrival and they couldnt commit to where the villa would be. However I have just received an invoice form Travel city that says 'Villa on a request basis'

Has anyone been able to request where their villa would be?

Thanks

Hi

we went with Travel City in '02, and as we were meeting friends out there in our 2nd week we asked to stay in the same community - Highlands Reserve. This was no problem, and was even printed on the invoice. The best thing to do would be to enquire with them which communities they use, have a look and see where they are and request a villa in the one you prefer before they all get allocated.

We are going to with TCD in 3 weeks and they actually allocated to us (back in August 2003 when we booked) a 4 bed exec in Calabay Parc. At the time I wasn't too sure about this as I thought it was too far away. However, after communicating with other boards and travellers, I may have gotten a good deal. SO now here's hoping that they stick to their end of the bargain in giving us the villa they themselves selected for us!

We got our villa and flights with TCD in 2001 (may have been 2002, they're all blurring into one now!). We paid extra for a 3 bed villa with pool on a specific estate, but ended up on the same estate in a 3 bed apartment on the third floor, great with 2 toddlers! It took 2 days to sort, and we had a 4 bed villa etc on a completely different estate (miles down hwy27). Wasn't pleased, and said that we would never again go with TCD. If we hadn't been promised a very specific location, we wouldn't have gone with them in the first place.
I'm happier going direct with villa owners now.

I have travelled several times with Travel City Direct, primarily because of the cost, booking things separately including villas is rarely as good an idea as it first sounds.
Both times that I have gone with them they have allocated a villa when we arrived near the 192 and both times I have been more than satisfied by what we received.
In addition I have to say that the customer service reps were very helpful, our downstairs loo flooded on the first day we were there :( and they sent someone out to deal with it and steam clean the carpets within hours. By the time we returned from our meal it was all dealt with!
