does anyone know about this DVC event - is it new? sounds like a let's try to drum up contemp. sales pitch w. characters - am I reading it wrong? worth going?
Yep, that's pretty much what it was. But it was a lot of fun as well. There were characters, some light munchies, and some give-a-ways. It was fun to be 'Disneyfied' in Boston. I did buy BLT points though.
We just got back from it. The kids thought it was fun, there were delicious cupcakes and some fun give-aways. Cheapy binoculars, DVC mouse ears, a nice set of DVC luggage tags and passport portfolio and a gift bag with a legal pad portfolio folder and pen.
We had no intention of buying more points, just went for the fun, freebies and chance for the kids to see the mouse without the plane fare.
And I had some magical moments watching Aladdin briefly (far too quick for me to retrieve my camera) doing the "chicken dance" when his photo op talents were not required, and Cinderella patiently enticing a reluctant toddler to interact with her. Now that's the magic
We are glad we went to the event, even though we live in CT, and tolls and parking fees have a knack of getting in the way.
