Anyone been to Silver Dollar City?

We're going to be out that way for my BIL's basic training graduation and thought that we might hit Silver Dollar City on that weekend. It looks like a neat little park but wanted opinions on cleanliness, value, etc. It looks like it would make for a fun day!!

Very clean, very friendly, fun rides, scenic setting. If you are an early bird and get there when it opens, they start the day by raising the flag and singing the national anthem at the town square. I highly recommend it. We didn't eat meals there, but the food looked and smelled appetizing. Food lines were fairly long, so that was probably a good sign. Our tickets were 2-day tickets that I got a little discounted at Dierberg's supermarket. I felt like we got our money's worth.

Haven't been there for a LOOOONNNGG time, so I'm sure it has improved. It won't be even a distant cousin to WDW.

Marla, thanks so much for the great review. My son graduates next week from basic at FLW. I wish we had time to take the kids there too! It sounds like a fun time! Mos where does your BIL go from basic. My Ds goes to San Antonio and I know several of the kids he is with are going there too.
