DH has suggested (very forcefully) that I hire a scooter whilst we are there . I just think he is afraid if having to carry me home each evening on his back! :crutches:We currently have a room at Tropicana and Candy Cane booked, one to be cancelled once we have seen some reviews of CCI. I have seen a couple of room tours-shout out to Crystal and her husband :worship: but we are debating whether there is enough room in a standard CCI room to park a scooter. That armchair seems to take up a bit of room. Anyone stayed there since it reopened and can advise whether they think there is room?

I've seen people just park them outside. I think it would be tight to squeeze them in the rooms.

But how would you recharge them? Sorry-I've never had to use one before so I'm probably being a bit dumb!

We stayed there a number of years ago. As far as I know they haven't changed the room sizes. We were in a premium room, which is their largest room type, and even that felt small.

Also, Candy Cane has a shuttle but I'm not sure how they would handle scooters on it. I bet you could call and ask. If you just walk/scoot it's probably a 15 minute walk. (It was for us.)

My friend uses a scooter and we stayed at the Candy Cane. She didn’t take the shuttle. She used her scooter and I walked. It is within walking distance. She stayed in a designated “accessible” room and her scooter fit fine in there. Granted she was rooming by herself. I have always stayed in a standard room and it is fine for 2 people. I am not sure a scooter would fit. I would call them and ask.

From reading the replies, it sounds like it is just easier for you to keep your Tropicana reservation (if you know the room is more spacious for a scooter).

I did not stay in the renovated room at CCI, but DH did and he thinks it would be very tight to fit a scooter in the standard room. I would maybe call both hotels and ask about having a scooter and what their thoughts are about it fitting. (Or if you park it outside, how you could charge it) I feel like the Tropicana would be a tight fit with a scooter as well. Wish we could help you more! We have never visited the parks with anyone who has used a scooter. Both hotels are nice and we would stay at both again. We hope you have a fantastic trip!

It is tight, but it’s doable. We stayed with three people in the Tropicana and a scooter. IIRC, we moved the bench into the sink area and parked the scooter where the bench normally is.

Thanks for all your help-CCI have helped us make up our minds by ignoring my queries! We are stopping at the Tropicana as when I messaged them to ask about a scooter, they replied within 45 minutes saying a scooter should fit and if it doesn't they can take it in the lobby overnight. I have messaged CCI TWICE in the past 2 weeks with various questions and they have yet to reply to either. This is reminding me too much of the shocking customer service whilst they were closed and is putting us off staying there at all!
