Anyone been to National Harbor in MD?

I'm planning on spending a couple days here in mid-August before heading to Timonium to visit an ex BIL. Their website, Nationalharbor.com, looks like there's lots to do in this area. Anyone ever visit this area?

I live near there and, right now, it's just some hotels and restaurants. Not much else. It's sort of "growing" right now but should be great one day. Especially after Disney opens their resort hotel.

Stayed at the Aloft hotel there a few weeks ago and liked it so much booked first night of my vacation there this Saturday (with dinner reservations at the McCormick & Shmitts there).

Is it easy to get there from Washington DC and how would you go about doing that?

I have heard they have water shuttles and bus service that will take you into DC.
