I went to one today for the first time in a few months. Wow! They completely changed everything. Their food is very improved, they have a bigger menu, they now use REAL plates, with REAL silverware, and they BRING it to you at your table and don't expect you to clean up. In fact they don't even do trays anymore. I was totally impressed and didn't expect this from what is still considered a fast food restaurant.

I actually ate there for lunch today! Had the roasted turkey with squash casserole and roasted potatoes. Yum and tasty! Honestly it was DH's idea to go and I went reluctantly. They are still pretty slow with the delivery, but the food was quite good and the service was great as well!

Yes they are always slow. But I kind of compare it a place like Panera bread - they make everything to order. Boston Market's problem is they usually only have one person back there at the carving station.

I had that squashed casserole too, delicious. Also had the loaded mashed potatoes.

I haven't been there in probably a year and a half, but I might just have to stop by soon!

We went in October and was pleasantly surprised by the plates, them bringing the food to the table etc. There was also a sign that said leave the cleaning to us. The manager even offered to refill our drinks for us. The kids meals still came in the red plastic plates. The food was fine though I have no clue now what we ordered.

I've actually never been to one (we don't have one around here) BUT I drive 1 1/2 hours away every Wednesday to drop off my students to school and I have to stay up that way and they have one up there. I might have to try them out sometime.

We went there for the first time in years just a couple of weeks ago. One of us had a craving for it so we checked out the website. We did online ordering for a carry-out and everything was ready (and correct!) at pick-up time. The quality has really improved and I had their new pot roast, which was yummy! :thumbsup2

The closest Boston Markets to us are a 2+ hour drive. But everybody we know who does live close to one, tells us it some of the best fast food they get. It looks so good every time I see one of their commercials.

The one near us closed a few years ago. I'll try to find one in some other part of town and try it again.

Must be either a phased roll-out or some test marketing. I ate at one in Lansing, MI a few days before Thanksgiving and didn't notice anything different.

We had a yummy lunch at ours while out shopping last Friday. The place was empty, nevertheless we really enjoyed the real non fast food feel! :goodvibes

We have a few near us and just ate there on Saturday night, but no real plates, no cleaning up after me, no refilling my drinks for me, none of that. They also aren't particularly slow around here, so I guess that's a perk. We find the food to be pretty decent and way better for a fast dinner than McD's or whatever, so we will still eat there, even without the improved service some of you are getting, but with 3 kids, not carrying my own tray would be a huge perk!

Went last Friday, but did take out, but didn't notice anything different while I waited inside, other than the prices had gone up. Still great food, but $9 for the beef brisket meal seem a little high.

I would think it is a test marketing because I haven't seen any national commercials highlighting the changes/improvements and there is almost nothing online about it. To me the changes both in food quality but especially in service is significant. I had never heard of a fast food restaurant bringing you your meal to your table on real plates with real silverware.

As for the prices, yes they have gone up a little, but with a little internet searching you can find a really nice $3 off coupon. Turns an $8 meal into a $5 meal.
