We are thinking of Boma's for either a late breakfast (at 11:00) or an early dinner (around 4-5 PM). Wish they had lunch!

Has anyone been to Boma's before for breakfast or dinner and if so how do they compare?

Thanks!

We've eaten both several times and honestly I think either option is great. Dinner has an edge for me though...I love the variety, the soups and DESSERT!!! We always do dinner the earliest possible, it seems a lot calmer.

Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

I was able to convince my DM to try Bomas again. We first ate there in 2004 and for some reason she didn't think she liked it. We had dinner there last Sept. and it was a wonderful meal. :cloud9: We had 7:30 ADRs and when we arrived the waiting area was packed! :crowded:. We only waited about 5 min. before they called us and felt like royalty when we walked past everyone else.! :rotfl2:

The food was great. Very tasty. My DM admitted that she didn't know why she didn't like it last time but this time she did. :goodvibes We were a group of 4 adults (inc. 2 pretty picky ones) and 1 8 y/o. We all found delicious things to eat.

I was also recognized by a fellow disboarder there, who came over and introduced her self and said she recognized me from the pix I've posted of DD8 and myself-amazing! I took a pix of her and her family. Her DD was wearing a really cute, disney fabric, themed outfit. (Hi Frannn)

I can't say if dinner or breakfast is better, but we liked the dinner and of course walking around AKL and checking out the animals and decor is wonderful too. (We've been lucky to stay there twice.)

and that's only because I've never had breakfast there!;) If breakfast is half as good and dinner, it would be wonderful.:goodvibes

Boma dinner is our top spot at WDW. The food is so good. and you'll taste some things you might not be familiar with. The soups are killer. I know soup doesn't sound all that exciting, but give 'em a try.:earsboy:

Boma breakfast is a must for every trip. We eat at one of the later seatings, so it's really brunch for us. It is usually the only breakfast we eat out in an entire 7-10 trip.

Just came back end of January from trip and stayed at AKV. Boma is a must for dinner on all of our trips. The variety, the African influenced flavors, the soups, the prime rib, and especially the hummus!!! Boma is a must not miss attraction for my family..... Now since we also stayed at AKV this trip, I booked breakfast as the morning we leave treat. Oh my!!! Just as good as dinner but in its own unique way. The jungle juice is awesome and the spit roasted corned beef sliced in front of you.....OMG!!!! I wish I could have taken the whole slab to my table......I went up 3 different times to get slices of it.....

Either way you will not go wrong and if possible I highly encourage you to do both!

We had dinner there and it was amazing! We didn't want to leave....ever!

We ate dinner there last summer. It was fabulous! Best meal we had all week! We enjoyed it so much that when we made ADRs for this summer, Boma was the one place DH wanted to eat at again. So, it was our only holdover from last summer, and we booked a breakfast there too. We were impressed with everything there -- food, atmosphere, wait staff, dessert, coffee (best coffee on property in my opinion)!

We have Boma reserved for upcoming trip. Hope that we like it as much as everyone on here. We are all keeping an open mind.

We too have Boma reserved for our trip, and I am so looking forward to it. It seems to be one of places that most often gets good reviews. I love to try new foods, so this should eb fun!

I was a little nervous to go to BOMA for dinner in May, but thanks to everyone who has reassured me I made a good choice!:goodvibes

Eh, the only thing going for the dinner is the soup. Boma was the worst meal we'd had our whole first trip, and we were very disappointed given all the glowing reports we'd heard.

Maybe you'd have better luck with breakfast. Or give it a try anyway and see if it floats your boat. No harm, no foul if it doesn't.

Can I ask what it was about Boma that you didn't care for?

Boma is INCREDIBLE!:cloud9: We ate there last year for dinner and even my picky 6 year old loved it! It truly is an experience! A must do for us now every trip!:goodvibes

We loved Boma when we were there in October! Dh is a meat man and loved the variety that was offered. I'm a salad/veggie kind of girl and I cannot say enough good things about the tabouleh and couscous salads. Ds3 and Ds7 really liked it too, they ate mostly from the kids' pod, but loved the chicken from the meat section. The desserts were pretty good too. I onl recall one thing that I didn't care for, might have been a fried plantain. And those little balls...falafel maybe? I could make a meal from those alone.

We aren't picky eaters and we actually love strong flavors and ethnic foods, so it was a wonderful meal for us.
