Anyone been to Atlantis?

So, DH & I started looking into vacation spots for next year, and have started looking into Atlantis. Has anyone been to either Royal Towers or the Cove? Also, have you done club level at royal towers, and do you know the food offerings? We're trying to figure out which area we'd like to stay at with DDs ages 8 & 6. I know the food is expensive there, but any other input on it? What did you like, not like, etc? Thanks!

Trip Advisor will have a lot of advice and reviews. We went last summer and stayed at the Reef, which is the newest section right next to the Cove. We had a one bedroom unit facing the ocean. It was amazing. There was a kitchen and living/dining area, along with 2 bathrooms. The master bath was incredible, and there was a washer/dryer combo too. I think it is nice if you have kids. The Cove is beautiful, but more adult-oriented. Your kids are not old enough to go into the Club Lounge there......They have a water park there now that is a lot of fun!

We go quite often to Atlantis and stay at Harborside, their variation of the vacation club but have seen the rooms at both the Cove and Royal Towers. While the Cove is newer and in my opinion nicer, the Royal Towers are much much much more centralized. You have the casino, restaurants, Mayan pool, Mayan temple slides and the main beach all right there. And the Dig which is the aquarium. And the "Power Tower," the newer and more intense slides are not far away either. It all depends on what you're looking for, but personally, I'd rather stay in Royal Towers.

Thanks for the info...the Royal Towers does look more centralized. I'll check out tripadvisor as well.

You will love it anywhere you stay....Just make sure you stay where you get the free bracelet for the water aqua adventure, as that can be very expensive. Have fun!
