Anyone been to an American Idol 2 concert?

We're going tomorrow night in Charlotte. I'm taking my kids and wondering - about how long does the show last? And how does it end?

I haven't been yet, I'm going this Saturday in Atlanta for my birthday. I asked Debi, who posted a nice report about the concert if you want to do a search for it, and she said it lasted about 3 hours with a 20 min. intermission. I believe she said that "Proud to be an American" is the finale.

I can't wait! Are you thrilled too?

Yes, we're very excited. Big Clay fans and it'll be fun to see him in NC! He's been on the local news talking about how excited he is to be back home on the tour. I'll search for that report. It should be over around 11pm then, I'm taking young kids so hope they'll last that long. I'd like to hear Proud to be an American and don't want to cut out early.

It's pretty long and they take in intermission in the middle.

I think ours started later than the stated 7:00 start time (maybe 7:20 or so), but lasted until 11:00 or so.

Well I guess they'll sleep on the way home They both love music so hope it'll keep their attention.

Great concert!! If you have to cut out early at least wait till Cay sings his new single, Invisible. Its definately worth waiting for.

It does last about 3 hours but its so entertaining that it goes by fast.

I wish I could go again!!

That's a good point nancy679! Oh I DO want to hear Clay sing. I've had withdrawal since the show was over. I just saw them on The View (Clay and Rueben) this morning, a replay, but Clay said his album should be out late September.

Enjoy the concert, those kids work really hard and put on a great show! It is 3 hrs. long, including the intermission. Clay just rocks, he's truly the star of the show!! Have fun, I know you will!!
