Anyone been the last week of August?

Most schools are in by then, and it's just a one day thing with my sister. I think our main goal is to get on TSMM and maybe catch some Indy stuff. Also to see the new Innovations House.
Has anyone gone at this time? Besides being hot, we're just wondering what to expect crowd wise.

ps. we are veteran Disney people and know how to make the best of our hours. We also have APs and live one hour from DL, so coming back a few weeks later is an option.

It can be crazy as the So Cal AP's will have opened back up for people. So they swarm back into the parks..It is doable, but crazy.

The DL 5k and half marathon are being held the last weekend in August. This may increase the crowds a bit, as well.

We're only going the Wednesday before, so I don't think it will be a factor.
