Where does the exploded debris go after each firework? Anyone even been plunked on the head from one of those things?

Sparks will fly at you in Fantasyland. They explode all around you. It's fascinating, but to 'see' the show as it was intended, you need to see it facing Cinderella Castle.

Last year we were at the MK during Wishes and we had falling debris all around us.The CM's standing near us would quickly come over and kick it out of the way.No one was hit by anything but there were several VERY NEAR MISSES. :) :) :)

Yep! In Oct. 2004 we were standing on the bridge leading from the hub to Cosmic Ray's and my friend got hit with an empty fireworks shell. It wasn't hot or painful in any way but just something that took us by surprise. Actually we really wish we had kept it now. Now that would have been a souvenir you couldn't buy!

We have seen bits of paper fall before but never anything big enough to hurt. While we might have fun dodging it, I have a feeling that DS might not like it too much.

Yes, we were watching from Liberty Square and my cousin some some falling ash in her eye. It scratched her eye and she had to go to Medical Services. It was quite painful for a couple of days.

I have seen ashes falling from the wishes show but never seen or been hit by any shells or anything of that sort... I have been hit with some litle sparks from illuminations though.. from one of the fireworks launchers that are around the wall.. nothing dangerous but surprising none the less :rotfl:

I got cinders in my beer in the Rose & Crown garden one night!

Did they charge you extra for it? :cool1:

I've seen chunks of firework shell laying on the ground after the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, but never been hit by one of them.

Enjoy.

i got chunked in the head by a palm sized piece of fireworks one night at illuminations. it didn't hurt but it was a bit warm.

Yeah. Last year during the Christmas Party, they ended the show with what was basically a show of artificial sunlight. A few minutes later some ash flew into my eye. It burned really bad for the rest of that night, and itched about a week and a half after that. Every now and then I get a little stabbing pain in the lower part of my eye and I like to think that's the ash, but I've been to the doctor recently to get my eyes checked (for another eye incident) and there's no damage to my cornea, so I guess it was just a couple-of-days sort of thing.
