Anyone attend Epcot's "I Dig Bugs" Weekend?

Did you see Jiminy Cricket? The Bug's Life characters? Any other "rare" characters?

I'm thinking about taking DD to the Flower & Garden Festival one weekend, and debating between Characters in Bloom and I Dig Bugs.

Funny you asked all of this, Angel's momma, as I have the same dilemma! I wondered which weekend at Epcot would have better rare characters - the Characters in Bloom or I Dig Bugs??? Right now, I am booked for a trip during Characters in Bloom, mainly since I can't handle the heat of June! I wish I could do both, but my boss probably wouldn't like that!

I've been trying to get information about the 2 weekends, but there just isn't much out there.

From what I can tell, the Bug weekend gives DD the possibility of 5 characters she needs: Francis, Tuck & Roll, Atta, and Jiminy.

I had read a post that said last year the bugs were out for Bloom too, but I'm thinking they were just mistaken.

Bloom gives DD the possibility of 8:Hyacinth & Upanova, the 6 dwarfs (still can't believe I messed up & didn't get them at MNSSHP ).

And both weekends we may find 3 characters seen at Epcot lately that we still need -Big Al & Shaker, Rabbit.

I'm leaning towards Bloom. (I agree about the heat!) If all goes well, then maybe we can go to Bugs next year.

I still have to convince DH that we should go at all.....

I am curious about this weekend too, if anyone has ever been, etc, the I Dig Bugs weekend that is. It sounds like a neat time to meet some of the rarer bug characters. Meeting Jiminy would be a dream.

When they stopped the Character Caravan, they started having characters at American Adventure, and the Country Bears have been reported to be there.

Rabbit can sometimes be found at UK, though he wasn't there on our fall trip. There have been recent reports of Rabbit in Toontown, if you'll be at MK.
