anyone at the poly nov3-8 w/teenage son?

Staying at the Poly, for the first time at Disney with DH, DS (17) and DD(5). Anyone else gonna be there with teenage son? Going on Nov3-8, 2004. THought it might be fun if our teens could meet and maybe hang out if they got tired of princess mania! Will be everyone's first time at Disney. Thanks.

We're not there the same time you are but I have traveled with 2 teenagers. I felt safe letting them spend some time on their own interests (ie Disney Quest while I had lunch at Wolfgang Pucks) or when we stayed at Contemporary they went to the game room while I was doing whatever I wanted to do. DS was 18 at the time and had a cell phone so I could track him down when needed. He was great about always meeting me back at the appointed time (which never happens at home!) They also slept in some mornings and would just meet us for lunch or whatever. Also the day we went to Blizzard beach he met 2 boys from England and spent all his time hanging with them going doen the "big" slides while I spent hours in the lazy river. That way we all got to enjoy our vacation. I know you will too! Valerie

maybe you should advertise for a teenage girl instead... ds might be really thankful

seriously... have you considered allowing him to invite a friend along? i realize that it changes the family dynamic, as well as the cost, but it might be worth it in the long run...

hmmchowell, we'll be at the Poly starting on the 5th and we have 4 kids, including a teenage boy (15 -- 16 in Feb.), a pre-teen boy (12) and our two little princesses (4 and 1).

Does your son like Disney Quest?

Also, I've got CRT scheduled on the morning of the 7th for just DD4 and myself, so maybe the boys could hit the pool or arcade for a while?

We've never been but it's one of the things I've been pushing that he try. We arrive on nov. 3 and that night after ohana's I thought we'd mosey downtown disney and let him check it out. My DH and I will have date night sat nov 6. that's one night where he'll be free. We're staying at the poly. Maybe they can get together. thanks. Our CRT is on the 4th at 8:05.
