Anyone applied for olympic tickets

I had to laugh reading about a lady moaning because she left it to the last minute to apply & the site had problems, she said it was wrong! she had 6 weeks to apply

Has anyone had any money taken out of their account then? Today is the last day they will be taking money out. So far I've not had any money taken out

Neither myself or any of my friends have had money taken yet. Today isn't the last day though, they changed things. They have said that 60% of people getting tickets will have had their money taken by tomorrow with the other 40% being taken by next week now.

Really!?!? Breakfast news got it wrong then as they said midnight tonight this morning.

I have just read on the BBC site & the Olympic spokesperson said they are on track to take all payments by Midnight tonight.

Then they will contact people who they have had problems taking payment from their cards link here

I haven't had any money taken yet but I have applied with my credit card so even if I have it will not show up yet

I just had £316 charged to my credit card this afternoon from the olympics. The £16 must be the programme at £10 and the £6 delivery charge and the only possibility from what I ordered for the £300 is tickets for the opening or closing ceremony. It doesn't look like I have any actual event tickets though. Oh well, I am happy with anything I get. I guess I can try to get some event ones from the resale site or the 2nd chance ticket site. Has anyone else had anything out today?

My available balance is £100-odd down on what it should be and I haven't used it for anything else so it must be tickets. I can't work out from the amount what combination of stuff I have got though.

We applied for 2 events on the same day total cost £210 with the programme. Only 126 come off bcard last week so presume we have only got one of them .Didnt ask for anything really popular but I suppose they have to be fair.

We ordered over £400 of tix but were debited £117. Taking off the £6 postage I think we've got Wimbledon for the semis and Old Trafford for the semis. Bit disappointed we didn't get any of the events we applied for at the Olympic park but will have to see if able to get any in the second draft.

Checked mine this morning again still nothing, we ordered £500's worth of tickets each for us and some friends so £2K in total and we've got nothing, really gutted.

Anyway i've just read this on Twitter from Tom Daley.....

Mum had the money taken from the bank for the Olympic tickets! But only a 1/4 of what she wanted! I hope my family get tickets to watch me!!!!

Can you imagine that!!!!!! If his own family haven't got tickets to watch him.....especially in light of his dad dying a few days ago. You would assume they get a few free tickets or at least guaranteed paid for seats but they don't!

I think they do get given some tickets for specific events probably nearer the time once its all been sorted as they have allocated loads aside for corporate

I just read on the BBC that those that were successful in getting tickets can log onto their ticket account from tomorrow and it will tell you what tickets you have been given. I got a confirmation email last week saying I had got tickets but I am still not sure exactly what for. I guess I will find out tomorrow.

Oh no, apart from other people on the Dis, no one else I know got any either (and quite a few applied.) I think what ever I get I have been very fortunate.
