Anyone activated AP purchased pre-Oct recently?

Purchased our APs prior to the Feb price increase (DVC discount) and plan to activate this weekend. Our stay includes 12/17, which is a blackout date for the new Gold AP. Will our AP adhere to "old" rules and have no blackout dates? I have read that it may be converted to a Platinum AP. True? Any cost to this? I'm also wondering if I need to purchase Memory Maker separately. If converted to Platinum, I won't need to, but if old AP rules, I will. Looking for someone who has activated their old AP since the Oct. change. Thanks much!

If you have a certificate/"voucher" for a former Annual (no blockout dates), it will convert to a Platinum (also no blockout dates). No cost, the computer does it automatically.

I activated the voucher I bought a year ago on Saturday. I got a Platnium, the cm gave me a card showing the Photopass benefits. Be sure that they give you the discount card, I had to ask for it.

We also got Platinum passes when we activated ours in October - purchased them at the start of the year.

They gave us platinum last week when we used DVC vouchers from 2 price increases ago.
