Just stayed there for 3 nights, my parents the whole week. We stayed in building 5 with a fireworks view (10th floor). DD loved the pool behind #5. I like the bedrooms at Marriott Grande Vista and Harbour Lake a teeny-tiny bit better, but you can not beat the LOCATION!!
Trust me, you will have a awesome time there! On TripAdvisor the only complaints I read about was them hounding you to go on a timeshare presentation. Well, they must have gotten the hint- not one call to the unit all week from sales department.
We stayed there last January and it was wonderful! We had a suite overlooking the fireworks, and it was nice to come back to have dinner and then sit out on the balcony and watch the fireworks. Our only regret was that we weren't there much to enjoy it. We left early for the parks and came back late.... we went to the hot tub the last morning before we left for the airport, but other than that, we didn't see any of the resort except for our rooms!
I have stayed there twice and it is hard to stay in a regular hotel room after that! The rooms are very spacious and nice! I also loved the washer and dryer, and being able to make most of our own meals was an added bonus, and saved a lot of money!! I wasn't crazy about the buses there, but that was our only complaint.
We bought a 203K Wyndham resale contract off of Ebay 2 years ago for $700 for the sole purpose of using it at Bonnet Creek. It gets us 5 nights over Thanksgiving in a 2 bedroom and then 2 other long weekends in a 2 bedroom each year. We love Bonnet Creek! Wyndham resale points are a STEAL...you can get them literally for free or close to it. I always cringe when I see people taking the tour at Bonnet Creek when they could buy the same points for pennies on the dollar on the resale market.
We just unplug our room phone and so we don't have to deal with them hounding us to take a tour.
I just popped over to their website to check availability for June 2012, and NOTHING, other than regular rooms, is showing available. Is it usual for the resort to sell out far in advance?

The 13 months out is only if it's your home resort, though. If you buy a resale at another home resort you can only book Bonnet Creek from 10 months out.
