Anybody with experience buying tix through AAA?

I'm thinking of getting the tix through AAA because they throw in a TTMM, which we've never done before.

But then I realized, it's not like purchasing an online ticket. They will have to be mailed. I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow for DLR. Does anybody have experience buying tix through AAA, and if so, how long was it between the time you ordered your tix and the time your received them?

As I said on your other post, We bought tickets AT our local AAA office (Modesto) and didn't receive TTMM passes.

I believe you can just go into your local office and buy them at the desk... at least at ours, you can! I've never had any free TTMM ticket with it though, I thought that was a package thing.

As PP have said, I have gone into AAA offices and bought tickets and no TTMM , only free parking. I was told TTMM(as well as a few other perks) only comes with packages.

Hmmmm, I wonder what the deal is then? The guy at AAA whom I spoke with on the phone yesterday said that with the tix, I would get free parking and TTMM. Maybe he was mistaken? I'll have to call back and get clarification.

I certainly hope that it is a new and permanent perk. That would be sweet!!

I finally gave up on AAA, so I still don't know the answer about TTMM. I couldn't get a hold of a live person for several phone calls, and then when I finally DID get a hold of a live person today at our local office, our call was disconnected.

At that point, I decided I didn't really care all that much about TTMM, and didn't have any more patience left for the online forms involved in joining AAA....in the end, I just went to the ARES Travel website and had my tix purchased within 5 minutes.
