Anybody watch Nashville Star?

I too love Nashville Star! Who is your favorite? I think George Cannon is really good, but we are pulling for Lance Miller because he is from Southern Illinois.
I've only taken one disney cruise, so I'm no expert, but I think I remember having cable channels on the ship. I can't remember if USA was one of them.
We are flying out of Nashville on May 9th and staying all night in nashville May 8th. If we were one week earlier we could have gone to the live taping of the final Nashville star (May 1st)...darn it!
Maybe some of the frequent Disney Cruisers remember if the USA Network is available on the ship!

I like George Canyon, but I would like Lance to win also because he is from Illinois.
If they don't have USA on the ship, we''ll call our friend in New Jersey on Sunday from Key West to see who is left. We will probably miss the last show because we are flying home that night. We will have to catch one ofthe re-broadcasts.
Have fun in Nashville, we spent a week there a few summers ago. We also spent last Labor Day weekend in Nashville and had a good time. Try to see the new Country Music Hall of Fame.

I have a Marion Illinois address, but live east of Johnston City (near Corinth). My husband and I are both from West Frankfort, Illinois. We both work in West Frankfort and plan to build a house there within the next couple of years.
Do you usually fly to Orlando? We are flying out of Nashville instead of St Louis because it was way cheaper.

It depends on cost as to which airport we use...last Thanksgiving St. Louis was actually the best price, before that it was Nashville. This Thanksgiving when we go on our cruise we are using Evansville. It was the middle price of the 3 with Nashville the cheapest, but we opted to use a limo to and from the airport so we picked Evansville for the shorter drive.

You will love the cruise! On our first one, it was just me and my daughter (she was 3 years old) and my mother-in-law. We only did a 3 day cruise and loved it and wished it was longer. This time we are going again but with our husbands too. This will be my first time to WDW. We opted for the 7 day land/sea because our hubby's don't anticipate liking the cruise. We hope to get them there (I'm confident they will love it), and then re-book a 7-day cruise on board.
Back to Nashville Star. Lance Miller used to sing in a band called Jackson Junction. One of the DJ's from the radio station Z100 used to sing with him (Juli Ingram). They interview him on the radio every week. If he makes it tonight, they are filming in Fairfield Monday night for the show. They are going to have a benefit (I think for the Red Cross) where he will come and sing for the crowd.
Don't forget to watch tonight!

Well, I'll be a ding dong daddy! 
My cousin (Greg Clutts) played in Jackson Junction for several years. I never paid attention to the rest of the band though, but now I can say that I've had the privelege of seeing Lance Miller perform in person. And well, Miss Julie Ingrams just lives a few blocks away from me.
I almost missed the live show because we had gone out to eat, but made it home just in time to see Lance's solo and then his duet. I thought he did a great job with the solo being a better performance. His voice and Trace Atkins' (dont' know if I spelled it right.) voice just didn't seem to mesh as well as the others did on their duets.
I was surprised by Matt Lindahl's duet...at first I thought he was going to "Goober" it up too much until he just started singing with Terry Clark. He just might make a fine singer someday. I already thing he's an entertainer. I forget the name of the other guy who sang with Terry Clark, but it's probably because I wasn't impressed. George (I think that's his name) who sang with Trace Atkins...WOW! That was a great performance...looked like they'd been doing it all along. Of course I'm still rootin' for the home state boy...I'm pretty loyal even if I don't keep up with it like many people.
As for the cruise, thanks! I am so excited about the trip! Dh wanted a "relaxing not run all over WDW" vacation, ds wanted a "just hang at AKL" vacation, so I convinced them the cruise was the best of both. We thought about trying the 4 night since it's our first, but everyone I've talked with said it seemed like once they were used to the ship it was time to leave, so 7 nights here we come.

Oh dear, I am unhappy. Brad had more votes, but not more talent. I am sure George will get a deal and I will buy that CD. I cannot see myself buying anything of Brad's.
I love Buddy Jewell. We were in Grand Cayman Tuesday on the Magic, we walked into a store they were playing SWEET SOUTHERN COMFORT! In Grand Cayman!!!!!! WOW.
Two years ago we were in St Martin, also on the Magic. The tour bus radio was playing Vince Gill and Rascal Flatts!
