Anybody used convention hoppers/tickets?

My husband is going down for a convention so we purchased the convention tickets, which were a really good deal, for us at least. My question is ours say they're a 3 day hopper, plus 1 visit to DQ or PI. It says on them they're good only for 10 days from first purchase, and when I called, they specified they're only good 5 days before and 5 days after the convention itself. This isn't a problem since we'll only be there during the actual convention.

My question (did I say that already?) is, can we use the DQ option on a day other than the 3 hopper days? What we want to do is: arrive Monday, use the hopper days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then use DQ on Thursday before we fly out in the evening. The person I ordered the tickets from said you can (as long as it's within the above restrictions - 10 days from first use, 5 days of convention). But I don't want to get there Thursday and have them tell me it expired with our third day the night before.

Thanks for any help!

I think you can use the plus option any day as long as it is within the time frame before they expire. In other words you dont have to use a plus option on the same days your going to the parks etc. You should be able to contact Disney or whoever is arranging your convention to get the details..but i believe this is the case

You can use the DQ option any time within that 10 day window. Have a great time!:)

I've used the 3 day hoppers that I got from a ticket agency. They work just fine.

Convention tickets may vary in privileges depending on the convention, sometimes they are valid only after 2 PM.

The general rule is that options (plusses) may be used on days you do not go into theme parks and using a "plus" does not tick off a "day".

Seashore - my husband purchased the 2 day after 2pm tickets - those are only valid for one park per day and after 2 pm only. Since he'll be in meetings from 7:30am until 5:30pm, it works for him. The rest of ours are 3 day hoppers that it says are good at the 4 main theme parks for 3 days.

Thanks everyone for the help on the "plus" option - I did call twice and they told me the same thing, but I just had a fear I'd get there the last day and they'd say "sorry, you used 3 days already!"

Hi everyone I was just wondering if there are dates printed on the convention passes.. My company is going in the begining of May and i am going back in July so can i purchase extra tickets to use in July too??

Good question! We wondered the same thing since my folks are going a couple weeks after we are and they were a much better deal, especially for shorter stays. I have our tickets in front of me, and can answer any questions (or try). They DO have our last name on them, so it would be hard to transfer them (as we were thinking) because if they asked for ID, it wouldn't have been the same name.

Obviously, the official Disney answer is no. The tickets say on them only that first use must be before December 30, 2005, and that they're only good for 10 days from first use. However, I'll warn you that when I ordered them they did tell me that they would only be good 5 days before and 5 days after the convention, and she even told me the specific dates. But I don't see that anywhere on the actual ticket. Hard to say!

I ordered convention tickets online from the convention site. the convention that I said I was going to is totally fictional (lol). I received my tickets and there is nothing on the ticket that lists which convention i am attending or when it is. It just states that they expire on Dec. 31, 2005 and they are good for 10 days from first use. I don't see how they could possibly keep up with every convention in orlando. I have also read that others have done the same thing and never had a problem.

Great thanks.. I plugged in the dates of my July travel and it let me proceed to the buy me now option.. I don't think i will do it . but good info.. Michelle

Interesting, because when I called I had to give them our group convention number (provided by DH's company), then they pulled up the information to confirm that I was naming the right company and dates. That said, I did order late Dec, when they had closed down the online ordering to prepare for the new MYW tickets - so online may be a whole different deal. I also agree it would be difficult to keep track and the tickets don't seem to show the convention or dates. But I'm surprised that it doesn't ask for that number online to order!
