Anybody trying for a Wii?

I have managed to get one, will be delivered this week via Dixons, I put Wii stock into google and managed to get a stock locater. It alerts you when the stock is in, you have to be quick though.

Yeah i've been looking on and off on that site, quite a few people on moneysavingexpert have ordered off dixons and then had their orders cancelled a few hours later, just a warning to anyone. Quite a few people have been ordering through the european Amazon sites though and having good luck.

I have to be honest we are getting one as a family present if you like, so its not a mad rush, but I would, if I can have it for the xmas holidays...more for me than the kids lol, if not then I will pick one up after xmas some time, hopefully the one through Dixons will come...I tried to order the other day but right at the end of paying it gave me the end of stock sign this time its took my mone

Im amazed that Wii stock is again so hard to find. Our local Woolworths reckon they won't be getting any more in till after christmas !
I wonder if this has been Nintendo not making enough, or if demand is just too big for them to cope with. Either way, I think its brilliant news for the gaming industry that Nintendo are getting such a large slice of the cake this time round, and $ony are not dominating it as they have for the last 2 console generations.

Yes I used the wii-consoles.co.uk site and managed to get a few for us, 2 cousins and a friend from Game, Amazon and dixons, but did have first order on dixons go thru to credit card stage, confirmation email, then next day email to say no stock! Was also lucky ordering wii play + remote from gameplay, in-laws looking for this now and no stock anywhere!

My kids school has one they are raffling off for free at the annual parents meeting!
I can't wait! Bet they get a huge amount of parents there for that reason only. Good idea really!
