Anybody take Treximet for migraines?

I just started taking this pill for my migraines and it works great but I think it is increasing my acid reflux and possibly giving me an ulcer. Anyone know anything about this drug? It's fairly new and recently got approval from the FDA. Just curious..

treximet is a combined drug of imitrex and naproxen...naproxen is an NSAID, so very possibly could be aggravating your stomach....

I had to stop taking Naproxin (aleve) and anything else like aspirin, ibuprofen because it ate away my stomach.

Imitrex is out in generic and I just take Tylenol with it.

My pharmacy wouldn't fill my imitrex Rx with the generic because they lost money on it - they would only fill the branded. Hmmm.... not tried taking it with tylenol before. Does it work well? What strenght of imitrex do you take?

Treximet is actually different from Immitrex...not the generic. In fact, Treximet is so new there is no generic for it. You aren't supposed to take Tylenol with it though, it says so on the box...

Treximet is great, it works really well! Even if I take it after I have had a headache for a while, it usually gets rid of it within a half hour. I just noticed that my stomach hurts after I take it and my acid reflux has increased...I guess I gotta call the good old doc to see if that is whats causing it..

Treximet IS different because it contains naproxen (alieve) already in it. I take 2 tylenol with it because I cannot take the alieve...works fine - just the imitrex and the tylenol.

I had a very bad reaction to this drug. I had horrible chest pressure/pain, profuse sweating, and shortness of breath. My headache did go away, but I felt like I was having a heart attack. I was told to never take Treximet or Imitrex again.

Oh wow, sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction. I notice I sweat a little when I take the meds, wondering if thats a side effect..
