Anybody stay at a Wingate inn?

Hi: Have friends driving to florida, looking at staying at a wingate inns on the way down Anybody stayed in any before, reviews, clean etc. I think they are looking at one in south carolina, rockhill.

The one in Rock Hill is fine. Overall Wingate generally has clean, comfortable, & modern rooms.

I have stayed at a Wingate Inn. Like most hotels in this class in the USA, they offer free breakfast each morning. The room was very clean.

Each hotel is a franchise of Cendant (i.e. Avis, Budget, Howard Johnson’s, Ramada, Century 21, and many other companies)

Hello Everyone: Thanks for the input on the hotel. Is the mall in that town anygood, I think it is called gallerina mall or something like that.

We stayed at exactly that location last summer. It's very clean and the breakfast had a fair amount of variety. I believe it was right next to a Cracker Barrel you could walk to. Can't say anything about the mall though - we're always in a hurry to get to WDW so we never stop except to eat and sleep!

Hi: Is that usually your first night stop.

I am thinking it is about ll hours from the hamilton area (we are 45 min from niagara falls), going down 77/79 etc.

Do you think that is about right?

That's about right. We usually do an 11 - 12 hour drive the first day out and it depends on traffic or, unfortunately, whether we get lost, as to where we land. We always stop where we are around 6 - 7 ish for supper and have a nice swim. I believe last year we lost about an hour in Chicago so you could possibly make better time.
