Anybody recently dine at Cape May Cafe for the clam bake dinner buffet?

I just made reservations based on a friend's recommendation and I was just wondering if anybody else had any thoughts on it? Is it worth the money? Also, allearsnet says no drinks are included in the price. Is that true?

Drinks are not included in the price. Cape May is one of those "love it or hate it" things. We loved it until a few years ago when they went away from the fried seafood things to more "healthy" things. Then my husband said it wasn't worth it. I still love the steamed clams and mussels and would kill to go there again. Husband has won out for a while but I might break him soon. There is enough to keep the non seafood fans happy.

Stumbled on this place last Feb, we were thrilled as the food was out of this world for a buffet...went back again and it was still good but not as great as the first time. Went back in Oct 07 and it was just ok...the food was cold because they put it out 30 minutes before the opened (we were sitting right outside the restaurant so we witnessed it), they changed the food items a bit, it was just not that great.

I think everyone should try it and judge for themselves, the ribs and roasted chicken are fantasic! I would go around 6:30 the next time, give it time to get warm food!

We ate there last week and thought it was well worth it. We are seafood lovers and enjoyed clams, mussles, shrimp and clam chowder. The other items including desserts were very good too. There was a section geared towards kids. Corn on the cob was a big hit with my kids!

We love it!! :thumbsup2 We go every trip..the cornbread is the best in WDW, IMO. DH doesn't even like clams/mussels but finds plenty of other satisfying stuff. Give it a try!!! (I didn't even notice on the bill that drinks aren't included..unless this started since 7/07)

We used to love it, the last few times not so much. Probably wont return next year.

Almost every trip it's great there.

We've been eating CM for years. It started really good, may have slumped a bit. But we went in Dec07 and it was the best meal of the trip. Lots of variety (I don't eat seafood), and it was all prepared well and tasted good.

Oreo bon-bons are as good as ever.

We have eaten here for the past several years. Our last time was over our Thanksgiving trip. We loved it! The food was awesome. Both seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers loved this buffet.
