Anybody play Tak and the Power of JuJu?

Ok, here's the deal- I'm generally pretty bad at video games but I'm sorta hooked on this one. I'm trying to get the moonstone on Chicken Island and I'm in the last "chicken/egg place". The girl's voice keeps telling me to "UM, Tak? Try hitting the chicken a second time in the air." ARGH!!!! But how??? I've tried hitting it as it's falling in the pit but that doesn't seem to work.
I even "googled" cheats but none of the sites I looked at told me how to do this.
Please help!! I'm stuck and I want to stay ahead of my dh.

Are you on Chicken Island, or in the Chicken Temple?

She really does mean hit the chicken when it's in the air. You hit the chicken once, and it kinda flies upwards and just barely forward. Before it lands again, hit it again with your rattle/stick and it'll go farther forward.

Thanks! I'm going to try it right now! How pathetic is that? I should get a life...


Oh, and I'm in the Temple. I've been hitting the chickens with acorns instead of the stick.

Yeah, use the stick or the rattle.

If you use the acorn, the chicken will run in pretty much a straight line toward you. That works well to get the chicken to follow you to a point, but there are some switches you have to hit by hitting the chicken with the acorn or rattle (I prefer the rattle) when he's already in the air.

It's an addicting game, isn't it?

Well, I thought I was on the last level. With your wonderful help I did get through the one I was on. Now I have to figure out the next one!!

My kids want this game. Is it age appropriate? Can a 8,7 and 4 year old play it or will it be too complex?

I don't have any kids to compare with, but I would think the 7 and 8 y/o could play it just fine. Not sure about the 4 y/o but (s)he'd enjoy watching at the very least
